Rove bashes O’Donnell; O’Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back
Michelle Malkin ^ | 09/14/2010 | Michelle Malkin

I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O’Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity’s FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC. The establishment Beltway strategist couldn’t even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for O’Donnell. He criticized her “character” and “rectitude” and claimed she hadn’t answered questions about her financial woes. She did so here. Rove mocked her security concerns as “nutty.” Yet, her concerns have been more than justified. See here.

Rove came across as an effete sore loser instead of the supposedly brilliant and grounded GOP strategist that he’s supposed to be. Expect more Washington Republicans to start sounding like Tea Party-bashing libs as their entrenched incumbent friends go down.

At O’Donnell’s victory speech, she invited a 9/12 patriot to speak. He sent a special message right back to Rove, recounting how Rove had met with Delaware 9/12-ers and Tea Party folks to try and convince them to back the “more electable” candidate. “No one is going to tell us how to take care of business,” the 9/12-er said he told Rove. And now, he observed, the “more electable” candidate Rove wanted them to vote for has been…unelected.

The Freedomist reports more details of the meeting:

Rove Tried to Cut a Deal For Castle With Tea Party- Teaparty News- The Collier Brothers

Sources at the Christine O’Donnell victory party revealed to The Freedomist that in December of last year Karl Rove met with Tea Party leaders in Dover, Delaware trying to get them to cut a “deal” in which they would leave Mike Castle alone and NOT support O’Donnell.

The Freedomist has also learned that Rove was allegedly acting as an operative, although in what capacity it is not known, even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.

I think that just might fall in the category of an illegal act. Fox needs to fire the POS tomorrow.

I was extremely disappointed in Rove tonight! I was going to buy his book, but he just lost a sale! That kind of low-brow sniping is just uncalled for!

The real Turd Blossum showed up on Fox tonight. I wonder if Sean will continue to grovel at his feet and call him "The Architect".

Hannity, to his credit, really argued with Rove and defended O'Donnell. He said we can't move forward with RINOs. Now someone just has to tell Hannity that McLame is the biggest one.

“Rove is a typical politico: it’s never about principle and good governance. It’s only about getting power.”

Dana Perrino was on before Rove dissing O’Donnell as well. Another Bush bot. I am sick of the Bushified GOP.

We want the Palinized version of the GOP.

I don’t consider Sean Hannity a conservative. He always has Newt Gingrich and Karl Rove on pretending to be conservative.

I don’t get it. The Teaparty has spent more than a year saying they want nothing to do with “RINOS”, the GOP, or Republicans.

But when an alleged GOP-Republican-RINO criticizes one of them even remotely, everyone acts like they care what the RINOS have to say.

Crybaby city.

I was really proud of Hannity tonight. I think he has been shocked by the vitriol of these RINO elitists. Levin has opened his eyes.

I read somewhere that the first 4 years of the Bush Presidency, GWB was guided by Cheney and that the second term was all Rove. That would tell me all I need to know about Rove. I know Freepers seemed to love him but I never particularly have.

Rove is so incredibly overrated. His advise to Bush for 8 years is why we have Obama. They laid there and took MSM and DNC lies like no other administration in my life. It was humiliating and Rove should just go away.

Who would have thought that Rove was just another GOP power player? Well, he is and has no regard for the Tea Party revolution. Discard him.

Unfortunately, this is becoming a common problem with way too many of the GOP elite or beltway Republicans. These are the people that need to be expelled from the Republican Party. They want power first (whoever can be elected) and then decide on policy. These kind of people are an affront to the Tea Party movement.

If removing these power hungry GOP folks does not work, then a third party will be the only alternative.

"Rove bashes O’Donnell; O’Donnell supporter at victory party strikes back"

All the RINOs and dims have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.

...even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.

Imagine that - dirty deeds for RINOs (to make the conservative candidate(s) go away.

It's going to be a traumatic November for Rove, Perino, et al. Expect tantrums from them and robo-calls trashing conservative candidates. Rush talked a little about third parties today. The GOP, if it continues in the Rove fashion and doesn't get a clue what constituents are demanding, is destined to be a dinosaur. Donations need to be circumvented to the TRUE conservative running for office. No doubt about it.

Dana just relegated herself to "eye candy" in my book. When she's on TV, the mute button will be engaged.

Rush revealed today that Castle was the only Republican to vote with the Democrats to investigate whether Bush lied about the war in Iraq and whether he should be impeached.

How could Rove support him? Does Rove even know?

Your true colors are now showing, you light-weight!

Adios, and good riddance! You have no more clout or status here at FR.

I don’t like elites, rather they are democrat or republican. They are the problem, not the solution.

Remember a few years ago when Rove was the Magnificent Bastard, the evil genius, a hero on this site?

And there were the calls for Condi to run for POTUS?

My, how our heroes come and go. It might be wise to remember that when it comes to any politician, including Christine, and Sarah.
