Remove the emotion from the discussion, politics is a science and the numbers were there for Castle but not O’Donnell. It will get closer, but the best chance they had to get the symbolic Biden seat was with Castle. Not saying that O’Donnell can’t win, just that the stats, numbers and trends are not in her favor. These people play the numbers game for a living and the numbers can’t lie.

Placing emotion in the discussion, we need to rid the party of moonbats like Castle, Snowe and Collins but the entire majority will be made up of people that have varying points of view, it’ll be up to the majority leader to pull everyone in line.

To attribute this viewpoint to mere “emotion” is wrong, I think. I fully realize that by voting our “emotions” we’ve kicked out a sure-to-win RINO with a less-sure-to-win conservative. It’s a chance I’m willing to take, because I consider it a win if the conservative wins, but also a win if the Democrat wins and we get the RINO out of office. That’s not emotion speaking – to me, it’s logic. We need to get the RINOs out of office and out of our party. That pathetic candidate we had for President last time around taught me THAT.

No, the first thing you do is to symbolically shoot the traitors. Liberal R's still vote with D's. You cull the herd and the other with wobbly knees get the message they might be next. That is how you get the votes you want. Votes are what matter.

If that was what Karl Rove kept it to - a discussion of the numbers - that would have been fine. But he didn't. He went on the attack personally and viciously. He lost me with this one.

“Remove the emotion from the discussion...”

Thanks for your comments. The Tea-Party has the ball, time to run with it.

Good Tea Party moves -
- Marco Rubio, excellent candidate
- Joe Miller, excellent candidate
- Mike Lee - in Utah we should run the most conservative person we can find period.

Risky Tea Party moves
- Sharron Angle - was at a fundraiser she did in NYC, she was underwhelming to say the least
- Christine O’Donnell...

The Tea Party’s future hangs in the balance of the Nevada and Delaware elections.

Numbers may not lie, but numbers do change and with a little concerted effort
her numbers will change for the better! We are dealing in points in time.

Castle was a very BAD republican choice. Pro Crap and Trade?
Hand to get him arm twisted to vote no on Obamacare? Wont vote to repeal it? Definitely too high a risk for him to pull Jim Jeffords. he had to lose. He was the Dede scozzafaz of Delaware.

The establishment GOP is still useful of course at times but they have to do better at picking candidiates that appeal to all wings of the Party and not just the elite Liberal wing.

You are right. Rove is relying on the same game plan that has worked for years. What he doesn’t understand is that history is out the window in the election this year.

They, the establishment GOP, do not understand the anger of the country any more than the democrats do.

They want a republican majority. We want a conservative voice.

The numbers can be manipulated and they are, all the time.

I think these elitists have placed too much faith in their models. Just as the AGW crowd did. The raw data going in may not have been wrong, but the weighting and the massaging is.

The elite, including Rove, do not live in the same reality that we do. They cannot understand the depth of disgust and anger we feel. If they really wanted to take the Senate back, they could back Christine. They want their faction of the team to win because they need to keep control of the game as it has been played for decades. We want to change the game. You cannot take the emotion out of politics. Politics is people and people are not database points to be manipulated to reach some pre-determined result.

This isn’t football and if it all goes crashing down, then let it be on the donk/rino shoulders. Their motivations are so suspect, it isn’t worth even discussing. For me, they have lost whatever credibility they may have had.

See the problem with this is the folks who have "opinions" that are anti-freedom and anti-constitution should never ever be given credence.
