The endorsement of the NRSC is a kiss of death!

I think the basic, very flawed feeling of the NRSC is this: If the Republicans win and take over Congress and turn this economy around, and the country around while Obama is president...then the Obama administration will claim the doing is theirs. The Dems will always point to Obama for advances in our economy that are the result of Republican efforts in a Republican majority Congress. Just as we now blame Obama for what the Democrat majority in Congress has done.

The NRSC does not want Obama to get any credit in the near or far future for any turnaround. Thus, if they allow the Dems remain in control and the economy does not recover quickly, people will continue to blame Obama and that will lessen his ability to win a second term. I think that is their objective

Also, since the problems are so overwhelming, and so deep rooted, perhaps the NRSC knows that there is no way a Republican majority can fix anything quickly anyway. They are afraid to jeopardize any chance for a 2012 election of a Republican president if a Republican majority in Congress cannot be successful. They do not want to carry the blame of not achieving what America wants. They want that blame to rest squarely with a Democrat majority in Congress and, therefore, Obama.

The Republicans are going on the theory that the voters in this country are, mainly, uneducated and unaware of the effect Congress has on the country. Simple minded voters can’t think farther than blaming whoever is president for anything. And, even though there are millions of these simple minded voters…mainly in the unions, ethnic populations and the entitlement believers …the NRSC cannot accept that the majority of Americans understand how our country’s laws and programs are initiated and put into effect by Congress. What was once true, before so many thousands were educated, is no longer true in an America of enlightened voters.

It is all a game to the NRSC and most all politicians - regardless of their party affiliation. The strategy used in the game is Blame. And they are stuck on using that tactic. The voices and desires of the people of America are not even considered to be important.

The damage has been done. I would like to hear how the “misunderstanding” came about. Unless there is something really strange, I still think a resignation is called for.

NRSC Chairman Cornyn’s Statement On Delaware Senate Race

Wednesday, September 15, 2010 @ 11:09 AM

U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), released the following statement regarding the Delaware Senate race:

“Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee – and I personally as the committee’s chairman – strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O’Donnell in Delaware.

“I reached out to Christine this morning, and as I have conveyed to all of our nominees, I offered her my personal congratulations and let her know that she has our support. This support includes a check for $42,000 – the maximum allowable donation that we have provided to all of our nominees – which the NRSC will send to her campaign today.

“We remain committed to holding Democrat nominee New Castle County Executive Chris Coons accountable this November, as we inform voters about his record of driving his county to the brink of bankruptcy and supporting his party’s reckless spending policies in Washington.

“In the weeks ahead, we will decide where to best allocate additional financial resources among the large number of competitive races at stake this November. While it’s not in Republicans’ interest to advertise our spending strategy to our opponents, it’s worth noting that just yesterday, the NRSC’s first independent expenditure ad aired in support of Dr. Rand Paul’s campaign in Kentucky, where we firmly believe that he will win in November.

“It remains to be seen whether national Democrats will provide a similar level of support for many of their nominees, including in key battleground states like Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Arkansas, Illinois, and New Hampshire, among others. The Democrats’ indecision reflects the fact that Republicans are on offense in at least 12 Democrat-held states and we are leading in the polls in seven of those 12 states.

“Finally, on the matter of the New Hampshire Senate race, while the results remain outstanding, we continue to monitor the Republican primary race, and we stand ready to fully support whichever candidate is chosen as the nominee.”

Easy. If 1 million people (or 999,999 in addition to him) each send $25 to those three conservative candidates that is $75 million that doesn’t need to be filtered thru the NRSC.

I know...I just pulled the trigger too quickly. A cursory read could cause that.

“Could you please balance my checkbook? I like how your math works! :-) “

You are the one that needs some real help on how to multiply 3 X 25 X 1,000,000.

Did you go to public school?
