Understand that Karl Rove is out trying to salvage the Republican Party, and to do that he is lashing out at all threats to the Republican Party, including the Tea Party movement, the real Conservatives as well as the Democrats. “Tokyo Rove” is a good one, but even Tokyo Rose was doing what she believed in. Not saying Karl is collaborating with the enemy, but he is representing a diminishing “Republicanism”.

A lot of people are fed up with the Republican Party as all of us here at FR have been railing about for over a decade. Back when we had uber-RINO “Republicans” like Lincoln Chaffee, Arlen (Ex)Spector(ate), and others, a lot of RINO and soft-RINO Republicans escaped a great deal of much needed scrutiny. While we were busy repeatedly trying to clean house of the worst offenders, guys like John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and many others have been busy playing Socialist Engineer and Central Planner with their Dhimmie Comrades and colleagues.

The economic slide we are in is a direct result of the policies in both houses of Congress, and both political parties over the past 90 years or so. Things are the way they are, because Congress has made it so, enabled by the people in this Country who have repeatedly reelected those (now) career politicians. People have been misled into believing that the Founders were wrong; “Progressive” means we need to progress beyond the Constitution, and you can see where that has led us. We have strayed so far away from what the Founders intended that the Republic itself is in more danger than any time since the end of the Civil War.

You get the government you vote for, and by extension, what you FAIL to vote for. Karl Rove will continue to defend the Republican Party because that is where his heart is. But if the Tea Party movement continues to build, he may be the one presiding over a minority Party in a 3-Way contest this November.

Stout Hearts.

Never forget, Karl Rove and Colin Powell left Scooter Libby swinging in the wind when they both knew he had nothing to do with “outing” the (non)covert agent, Plame.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rove with his own show on PMSNBC soon.

Heard it on Hannity when the guy said it and then saw MM’s tweet. Glad someone posted it.

It’s a perfect analogy but instantly communicates the truth that Rove sucks. I hope it becomes part of the lexicon and Rove dies a swift and painful political death.

Viva La Revolución!

I was conservative before it was cool.

he can continue to trash Ms. O’Donnell but people ARE listening and will get tired of him harping on her. She was a candidate and she won and won BIG TIME. It was fair and square. What’s wrong with that Rove? I love the new title: Tokoy Rove.

Rove impresses Rove and fails to impress We The People who aren’t as dumb as Rove would like to think. Bush/Rove gave us Zero. Plenty of blame to go around, IMO.

The past 48 hours are notable for two things, the O'Donnell victory and the Perfect Rovian Meltdown.

They're also notable for two delicious quotes that will live in the annals of history forever:

(Panelist on Hannity's Great, Great...): "The Dems re-elected Charlie Rangel because they like an honest crook."

Bill O'Reilly (shaking his head disapprovingly) on the Factor: "Comedian John Stewart is an arrogant man."

What fun these past two days have been!

Tokyo Rove is an vastly overrated fool - and he proved it - ONCE AGAIN.

The TPX should hire him for comic relief thru the election.

Argh! It makes no more sense for Michelle Malkin to take this opportunity to bash the Bush Administration’s handling of Countrywide and Fannie M and Freddie Mac than it does for Rove to bash O’Donnell.

Will everyone please stop already!!!!

We have too many casualties from friendly fire.

Let’s keep the grand objective in minde. Rove is being a complete knucklehead. Like him or not; respect him or not; he has historically exercised reasonably good judgment in terms of supporting the party. He has suddenly taken complete leave of his senses. BUT PLEASE, LET’S NOT LET THIS SPARK A WAR WITHIN THE PARTY.

I need to add that there are plenty of conservative knuckleheads out there, too. John Bolton and Robert Bork have been remarkably blunt and exceedingly outspoken, and at critical junctures. Some of their criticism of Rove and Bush was and continues to be just over the top punitive.

I am not suggesting that we stifle dissent. Not at all. I think this is the hallmark of a great party. I am imploring Rove and yes folks like Bolton and Bork to take principled stands on specifically defined issues; without attacking the character or broad disposition of other Republican leaders or their policies. The aim should be to frame our dissent as narrowly and as pointedly as possible, using first principles rather than personal attacks.

I am stunned by Rove’s behavior. I deplore it. I can not imagine what he is thinking.

And please, please, please ... Let’s not let this be the catalyst for a complete breakdown in civility and good, principled debate.

Very disapponted in Rove
Why he’s pointing out the fact she has a lot luggage that the other party are going to use on her at election time and she may lose it and a democrat takes the win.
