WELLESLEY — Wellesley’s school superintendent apologized today for allowing middle school students to participate in a prayer service during a field trip to a Roxbury mosque last spring. The apology to parents came after a group critical of the Islamic Society of Boston Community Center — New England’s largest mosque and Muslim cultural center — released a 10-minute long video featuring footage of Wellesley students bowing their heads during a prayer service.

Apology unnaccepted! This went on with everyone’s full knowledge and should not be tolerated! Of course, most of the parents will let it slide because there’s no better babysitter than public screwl.

So they can do anything they want so long as they apologize afterwards? I think someone needs to lose their job. Where was the ACLU?

‘‘came close to proselytizing,’’ he said.

BS. I saw the video.

You should resign now or be sued for everything you own. That is probably the only way jackasses like you will learn. So, make it easy and quit.

Wong said the mosque visit took place as part of the sixth grade social studies course, ‘‘Enduring Beliefs in the World Today,’’ which includes segments on Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam. As part of the class, students also visit a synagogue, a gospel musical performance, and meet with Hindu religious representatives, she said.

Why is the ACLU not all over this? They really don’t mean separation of church and state - just separation of Christianity and state.

No one at the mosque asked the Wellesley students to participate in the prayers, said Bilal Kaleem, president of the Muslim American Society of Boston, which manages and runs the cultural center.

‘‘Certainly in our tours we do not invite kids to take part, but if someone wants to come pray and take part, we shouldn’t prevent them,’’ said Kaleem. ‘‘It’s more an issue with the school.’’

According to the narration on the video, which the New York Times Boston.com didn't mention, the boys were invited to join the prayer.

Where was the ACLU?

Rhetorical question, I know, but the ACLU has been against Judeo-Christian thought and belief for a really long time.

Apology unnacceptable!

Resign you Frank’n Useful Idiot!

Fire all responsible parties!

Now what are administrators going to do to correct the damage done and violation of the supposed holy separation of “Church and State” which is always touted by Government Education.

So is the school district going to hire the knowledgeable educators to teach them about what Islam is and its history of Hate and Death?

Start here:

All one would have to do is know history…yet if that was also missed the only item to read is, “The Prophet of Doom,” its free and they’ll even read it to you through MP3:

http://prophetofdoom.net/Prophet_of_Doom_Islams_Terrorist_Dogma_in_Muhammads_Own_Words.Islam

Further for those that have a hard time with critical thinking, here is a well produced video of 3 Basic Things one you should know about Islam and Shari’a Law;

http://www.thewall.net/view/1332/islam-three-things-you-didnt-know-1/

Its only 8 minutes or so and very worth it. If you have others who would be interested, this should be sent to them.

I definitely don’t think it should end there. I think there ought to be some accountability, ie, reassigned teachers.

Liberalism truly is a mental disorder. For decades they call Southerners and Christians intolerant, racist, misogynistic, violent, homophobic, and intolerant. Then when they meet a religion that actually is all that they can’t wait to give them a big hug and sing Kumbaya with them.

I'm not going to develop a fan club here for saying this, but why should he apologize? The parents had to sign permission slips for their kids to take a field trip to the mosque.

I honestly think in that spot I'd say a field trip to a religious institution during the school day is inappropriate.

APOLOGY? NO,NO, NO, NO! That does not solve a continuing problem of our school systems teaching submission to Islam as "tolerance."

A whole bunch of people at that Wellesley school should lose their jobs. Wellesley is one of the richest per capita towns in our country. This should not be allowed to go unpunished in one of America's most "affluent" communities.

Why? Because our fundamental constitutional rights do not encompass the culture of this "religion" in addition to infringing the establishment clause.

TOLERANCE must not infringe our constitutional rights.

Teaching students to submit to Islam is WRONG!! We ,as a free people, do not "tolerate" such things as this, nor should students be taught that it is legitimate:

MUSLIM HONOR KILLINGS IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA

With Islam gaining an ever greater foothold in America, we will see more and more advocates for Sharia Law. That which most Americans find distasteful and barbaric-already manifests in the United States with seven million Muslims. We will see violent treatment of more and more women and suffer more and more court cases of Muslim men as they kill their wives and daughters for disobeying them. You can take a person out of a culture, but you cannot take the culture out of the person.

Fox News, January 1, 2008 reported a Muslim honor killing in Garrett, Texas when a 12 year old girl and her sister called 911, screaming, "My dad shot me; I am dying." She and her sister died before an ambulance arrived. Reason: father didn't like them wearing western jeans and blouses.

"Honor Killing in Texas" by Robert Spencer, 01/08/2008. "Amina Said, 18, and her sister Sarah, 17, smile happily in one widely circulating photo, and Amina is wearing what looks like a sweatshirt bearing the name "AMERICAN." But their fate may have been the herald of a new, disquieting feature of the American landscape: honor killing. Amina and Sarah were shot dead in Irving, Texas, on New Year's Day. Police are searching for their father, Yaser Abdel Said, on a warrant for capital murder."

In Clayton County, Georgia, January 26, 2009, a Pakistani immigrant father, Chaudry Rashid strangled his daughter for not accepting his choice of a husband. She wanted a divorce. She was 14 when she died. "Man Accused Of Killing Daughter For Family Honor" by Jamie Tarabay of NPR. "Honor killings are old rites of murder within families, committed because of some perceived dishonor or shame. The United Nations estimates around 5,000 deaths occur each year - mostly of women, mostly in South Asia and the Middle East."

In New York, February 16, 2009, FOX News, Joshua Rhett Miller reported, "The estranged wife of a Muslim television executive feared for her life after filing for divorce last month from her abusive husband," her attorney said - and was found beheaded Thursday in his upstate New York television studio. Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37, was found dead on Thursday at the offices of Bridges TV in Orchard Park, N.Y., near Buffalo. Her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, has reportedly been charged with second-degree murder. "She was very much aware of the potential ramification of her filing for divorce might have," said attorney Elizabeth DiPirro, whose law firm represented Aasiya Hassan in the divorce proceeding. "But she wanted to proceed despite the potential for it to erupt."

We have the same problem here in Raleigh.

The new name is 'Economic Diversity'.
We elected a conservative school board. The new board wants to implement neighborhood schools.
Boy, the libs protest every school board meeting. Demonstrations , arrests, the whole nine yards. They want to keep busing the kids all over the county.

“…can’t wait to give them a big hug and sing Kumbaya with them.”

Excellent point; the enemy of my enemy is my friend; remember Liberalism is about some level of anarchy for themselves and not others…

Most of all this stems from Marx, Lenin, Communism and Maoism, and used to deconstruct, propagandize and remake society for the political class, to be the arbiters of social benefits: class, education, money and status.

Remember “Animal Farm” and “1984” by George Orwell were written to reflect and explain in simple terms reality. It’s amazing how the left focuses on J.F.K two shooter theories for decades as a distraction. However, make excuses for every deviant pop-culture premise in light of empirical proof, and will not support factual conditions and their related issues; such as Islam is about hate, death, oppresses individuals, women and groups who do not support their precepts…

As much as I blame this idiot administrator, I also have plenty of blame to go around for the idiot parents who send their kids to this school.

I’m kinda surprised she is apologizing. After all, Islam is a religion of peace (barf) and I wonder just how many parents of these students even actually objected.

Sorry, I meant "she". My statement stands. Nobody should be fired, or apologize, or anything else. The parents have to sign a permission slip for a child to attend a field trip. What were the parents thinking? And now they complain?

The parents need to take control of the school and its activities, or live with the consequences of their approvals and stop whining!

The new board wants to implement neighborhood schools.

This is my 44th year in education, and I know less than when I started. <^..^>

I'm substituting now, so I get to encounter a variety of urban schools. It just seems that small well-run neighborhood schools with excellent administrators function the best. The only reason specialized schools work better is that they're expected to.

Most educators and parents do seem to know that, but it's just not in their hands. If a child won't or can't learn in a school in their neighborhood, a long walk or bus ride isn't what's going to make the difference. JMOH
