My vices were drugs and alcohol and they were in my youth. I guessing she was talking about her youth as well.

It certainly wasn’t uncommon for people my age to get into all sorts of weirdness when we were teens and for some that included witchcraft.

One of the whitest kids I knew got into Navaho religious rites for a while.

I do kind of think it is important for her to address this, not in terms of dismissing or excusing it, just with one of those flippant lines, maybe if she does an interview with one of those more social interviewess, somthing oprah-like.

“Oh yeah, you should have seen me when I was a kid. I had a lot to learn, and I’m grateful I was able to come to a faith that gave my life some real meaning”.
