President Obama removes 'Creator' from the preamble of the Declaration of Independence

Hobbes, Locke, and Cicero be damned. President Obama single handedly overturns Natural Law. Friday evening President Obama addressed the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. At around 22:30, he incorporates part of the preamble of The Declaration of Independence, removing "Creator".

"We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal..... endowed with certain unalienable rights, life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"

After President Obama says "created equal...", there is a long pause during which he scowls and blinks several times. For once, he may actually have opted to not read something that was on the teleprompter. Is looks like he is disgusted and decided it would be better not to read what the preamble actually says.

President Obama, if our Creator is not the purveyor of our human rights, then who is? The government?

One has to wonder if Obama ever READ the Preamble, given what he has done to the Constitution since he stole the oval office.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. —

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

After President Obama says "created equal...", there is a long pause

When Obama was a state senator, he was responsible for keeping a vote from coming to the floor regarding partial birth abortion.

Pro-life advocates told him that he was responsible for babies dying and after he left the state senate they would be able to pass it because his obstruction would no longer be there. He agreed that that was true.

While he was state senator, he let it be known that the consitution should have been written "all men are born equal" rather than "all men are created equal". You can guess the implications of that regarding abortion. This is likely why he scowled when uttering these words as mentioned in the article. He found himself forced to backtrack on what he had said in Chicago.

IMHO, that part of the Preamble is what students should be taught to recite - instead of the Pledge of Allegiance.

He omitted it because he believes that government is the one that gives us any rights that we have, not God.

In socialism/communism, Government is an idol (false god).

One has to wonder about the mental state of a politician who is incapable of moving to the center in light of the pending political disaster looming on the horizon for his party. He seems, in his brain, to transcend reality...The Failed Obama Administration©
