Crystal Park Hardware & Firearms has been accepted into the Glock Blue Label program, which allows the company to offer deep discounts to all law enforcement and many other people serving in various government positions on more than 60 models of Glock firearms.
Crystal Park offers discounts to all active-duty military and law-enforcement officers on all firearms, accessories and ammunition. Participation in the Blue Label program allows Crystal Park to expand its current discount program to include the deeply discounted Glock firearms included in the Blue Label program to a much larger selection of qualified individuals, such as state-licensed security officers, licensed paramedics and EMTs, firefighters with appropriate identification, court judges, district attorneys and law-enforcement academy or college students with proof of enrollment in a criminal justice program.

There is an ACE Hardware in Brenham, TX that still sells ammunition and maybe BB guns, but I can't think of any others in the area where I live.

I bought a 27 back in 2005 for $389+taxes+shipping+FFL transfer. $470 out the door with a couple extra magazines.
Glock doesn’t make a pretty gun, but the thing certainly does work!
My Glock 19 cost me $529 at an ACE in Colorado. That is the base model, no night sights or anything extra. Not cheap, but a damn fine piece of hardware.
They must be feeling the heat from Springfield.
“Do you know of any hardware stores that still sell firearms in this day and age?”
...yes...we have an old time hardware store in West Jefferson, NC(pop.2500) that still sells guns...they also sell stuff as esoteric as kerosene lamp wicks...the owners are getting on in years, so it’s just a matter of time.
Ding Ding Ding!!! We have a winner!

Hmmm. Giving preferential treatment to people because they DO work for the gubmint???? Isn’t that backwards? Shouldn’t a priority be put on placing guns in the hands of their employers, and let the tax leeches pay full price?
I believe the discount comes from the Glock factory. I guess they figure the volume sales will make up for the discount.
I presume any other manufacturer is free to do the same thing, if they so desire.
Smith & Wesson is currently running a rebate/promotion program if you’re interested.
Well, as I posted, I'd really rather they do the opposite.
