I don't like disparaging other religions or Christian denominations but I Googled 'Episcopalian' and this came up from a link to Wiki:

The Episcopal Church was active in the Social Gospel movement of the late nineteenth century. .. It has opposed the death penalty and supported the civil rights movement and affirmative action.
Today the Church calls for the full civil equality of gay men and lesbians. Most dioceses ordain openly gay men and women; in some, same-sex unions are celebrated with services of blessing. In 2009, the Church's General Convention passed resolutions that allowed for gay and lesbian marriages in states where it is legal.

So like one FReeper said up at the beginning of the thread; 'Why Bother' (going to church).

The Episcopal Church has turned from a 'religion', into a socialist political movement.
I know many Episcopalians LEFT for other denominations, like say Lutheran, when it started going 'progressive' and ordaining gays.

So given their current position on issues, this stuff is right up Barry & Bigfoot's alley.
