"Citizens Watchdog Group” Charging O’Donnell with Campaign Fund Misappropriation is Funded By Soros
Liberty Pundits ^ | 9/19/2010 | Jerry Wilson

The screeching meemees on both left and right have been clawing the dirt for any bit of mud they can find on Christine O’Donnell. Today, it was a comment from last century that prior to becoming a Christian, O’Donnell was on a date that involved attending a black mass or variation thereof. Also, a self-appointed watchdog group joined the harpy chorale with accusations of inappropriate use of campaign funds. Let’s deal with the latter first.

The group in question, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), is funded in part by individuals who are members of the Democracy Alliance. The Democracy Alliance was created in 2005 by former members of the Clinton administration in conjunction with George Soros and other like-minded wealthy individuals, determined to have a greater influence in the political process. Despite the claims of CREW it is non-partisan, its record features far more calls for investigation of Republicans than Democrats, while the Democrats it has asked to be investigated have overwhelmingly leaned toward either the moderate side of things, or been ridiculously easy targets such as Charlie Rangel.

Yeah, there’s a trusted impartial source.

Nothing — nothing — that has come out today diminishes O’Donnell’s credentials or credibility as a candidate. Not that this will silence the screeching. But, as has been the case all along, it’s meaningless noise.

They are just getting starte. They are practicing their tactics on CO, thinking she is an easy target. Just getting ready for 2012. Remember these people will LIE if it furthers their agenda.

They MUST be called to account.

This is the same type of bullshit "ethics" charges they used to drive Sarah Palin to Fox News.

CNN displayed campaign checks apparently paying for non-political personal expenses after the campaign had ended.

Soros connection or not, in what other world would anyone expect the opposition to ignore this and let it slide?

The witchcraft story is doing O’Donnell a big favor drawing attention away from the finance story. But that doesn’t mean it vanished or is over.

From CNN:

For example, a check for 475 bucks, she labeled it as mileage reimbursement. Remember, this is three months after the campaign is over. This means she drove hundreds of miles and she submitted this with campaign funding.

Also, $157 on a phone bill from Verizon Wireless; by all indications, this is her personal phone. Also, $28 at a gas station — the gas station in the town where she’s originally from — Moorestown, New Jersey. She still has family there. This is campaign money. There’s no campaign going on.

Six hundred dollars for her utility bill paid to Delmarva Power. Also, there are little piddly expenses, but increasing her debt. And these are very telltale. You wouldn’t need to spend this for any campaign, let alone a campaign that is not going on anymore.

$19 at a place called the Pike Lanes. The Pike Lanes is a bowling alley. That would pay for about eight games of bowling.

Also $26 for a meal at Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant — campaign money once again.

“CNN displayed campaign checks apparently paying for non-political personal expenses after the campaign had ended...”

I know from previous posts that Castle was your guy and you really seem to dislike O’Donnell. At this point in time, we don’t know all the facts behind her story- and we definitely wouldn’t want to rush to judgment (ala Mr. Obama declaring that the cop acted stupidly before getting all the facts), would we? Maybe she misunderstood the campaign finance laws, or has some plausible-sounding story- I don’t know at this point. Say she *did* OTOH, well...:

We have a Treasury head who cheated on his taxes;

A VP (from *Delaware* of all places) who plagiarized in law school and bald-faced lied as Senator on multiple occasions

A POTUS who abused cocaine, bought his house from a convicted felon under shady circumstances, hung out with a domestic terrorist- lied to the American people about his association with said terrorist, made multiple lies about his past; lied about recorded votes in the IL Senate

A recently departed former KKK member Senator

Another recently departed Senator who swam ashore to save his political career leaving his secretary to die

And do you really think Mr. Moderate himself, Johnny McCain has clean hands? Ever hear of the Keating Five? (And I’m guessing Mr. Castle has a few skeletons in his closet too)...

...Which brings me to my point: why do we have to be 100% pure when the other side gets to cheat at will without reproach? Don’t get me wrong- I’m not encouraging bad behavior and cheating, etc. But is anything that she supposedly did anywhere close to the examples I listed above?

And yes, I’m well aware that the MSM will hammer away at all of these things- truthful or not (remember all the slanders about Palin when she was picked for the VP nom that turned out not to be true?)- but what if we took the attitude, on our part at least, these things really didn’t matter compared to the really important issues?

I’m a little bit more concerned about the 14T in debt, 17% U6 unemployment, and the fact that we may someday soon lose our AAA credit rating, I’m afraid. Those are the issues that really matter to most people.

O'Donnell embezzlement accusation called 'frivolous'

"..."Christine O'Donnell is clearly a criminal, and like any crook, she should be prosecuted," Melanie Sloan, CREW executive director, said in a written statement. "Ms. O'Donnell has spent years embezzling money from her campaign to cover her personal expenses. Republicans and Democrats don't agree on much these days, but both sides should agree on one point: Thieves belong in jail, not the United States Senate.".."

What a crew at CREW!

We need to sic a watchdog group on zero. He needs to be marched off in an orange jumpsuit for the mortgage and foreclosure fraud happening on his watch.

—Check this out (Sloan is a wee bit biased :-) :

“...Melanie Sloan, CREW’s Executive Director has an interesting background as well. Prior to starting CREW in 2003, she worked for Democrats John Conyers,( funny, no crew suit for Detroit councilwoman Mrs. COnyers!) Charles Schumer, and Joe Biden. And as an attorney, she represented Valerie Plame of all people inher suit against the Bush Administration.”

They and are still doing this to Sarah Palin, so of course they, the progressives have to try and destroy Christine. We the people really need to protect and defend this young lady. I am sick of the left and their crap with the way they treat conservative women.
