At the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing last Thursday, Democrats passed a bill to require federal health officials to question anyone seeking services from Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) community health centers or other programs about their sexual orientation and “gender identity.”
Introduced by Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), H.R. 6109 requires HHS to obtain, retain and analyze sexual identity information from patients who seek healthcare, including children.
“This bill is about collecting data, no more, no less,” Baldwin said.
According to Baldwin, the current “lack of cultural competency” among federal officials means that “we are left with gaping holes in our knowledge on LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) policy” resulting in “significant health disparities.”
Baldwin is the first openly-declared lesbian elected to Congress.
The new bill’s requirements would apply to all HHS health service programs, requiring the health service employees to ask everyone receiving services their sexual orientation and gender identity -- including those that focus on children at school-based health centers. Children who seek help at government-funded school health clinics would be asked whether or not they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or if they know their gender identity.

So when a six year old scrapes his or her knee, goes to the school nurse, and is cross examined about sexuality, how is the kid going to fight back?

But I’d to know how a six year old with a scraped knee is going to foil the school nurse’s cross exmination about his or her sexuality? Or not be tainted by the questions?
Six year olds or grade school or even high school kids should not have to even hear such repulsive questions nor be forced to answer them. Or go to school where other kids are drilled about their sexuality.
Are they a teacher? I’ve spoken with a few on FR and the things they say!
But if your six year old knows how to even answer a question like that, you've lost. If you can't counter a loud mouth idiot, again you lost. ( I would storm the school). Kids are always bringing home stuff, how you handle it is what matters and what they should most influence by.

Just note again, I never trashed anyones choices. I simply said "Parents need to empower their children.." and a tiny pile on began.

You are right. The ones that talk like this are invariably tied into the system and defending it. However, it's a waste of time. The rest of us are not so blinded that we believe the Newspeak spoon fed to us by those who are just looking to justify their existence.

Your disregard for anything that does not fit your mold will only cause you to kid yourselves again no doubt I am not being honest. I must say this has been an eye opening conversation.
How do you know it won't happen? That's what the law the Dems just signed says will happen. No one thought that Kevin Jennings, the NAMBLA admirer and homosexual activist and founder of GLSEN (GayLesbianStraightEducationNetwork or whatever it's called) would be hired to be the Safe School Czar either. BTW I've read enough articles about what goes on in most schools to laugh at your "paranoid" label. Being paranoid means being afraid of something imaginary. Your sentence construction is unclear. but you did not refute my argument that kids are in schools away from parents and family for more than 40 hours a week. There is no way a few hours at home can undo what's been done in schools. Or what metmom said, parents cannot influence what goes on, or even know. How can a parent know what goes on for 8 hours a day when they're not there to see? Leftist schools and teachers regularly lie to parents anyway.

Children need to be children and not mini adults too soon. You’ll destroy their childhood.
Pulling your kids out of the public schools and starving the beast is the only way to deal with it. The only thing schools listen to is money. Cut the funding by not enrolling your kids and someone will finally sit up and take notice. If they won’t even fix the system for that, it deserves to die.
Parents have kept their kids in schools for decades under the delusion that by doing so they’ll be making a positive difference and help fix things.
That’s worked out real well so far, hasn’t it?
Besides, what I find most telling is your total silence in condemning this measure. All you’ve done is defend the public school system and attack homeschoolers. Is this your idea of how to fix the public schools system? *Empower* your kids to fight back after you’ve allowed garbage like this to get pushed through Congress?
Rather is was due to parents over teachers, family over instution, God above everything else.
