House Democrats Pass Bill to Grill School Children about Sexual Preference
Human Events ^ | Monday, September 20, 2010 | Connie Hair

At the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee hearing last Thursday, Democrats passed a bill to require federal health officials to question anyone seeking services from Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) community health centers or other programs about their sexual orientation and “gender identity.”

Introduced by Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), H.R. 6109 requires HHS to obtain, retain and analyze sexual identity information from patients who seek healthcare, including children.

“This bill is about collecting data, no more, no less,” Baldwin said.

According to Baldwin, the current “lack of cultural competency” among federal officials means that “we are left with gaping holes in our knowledge on LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered) policy” resulting in “significant health disparities.”

Baldwin is the first openly-declared lesbian elected to Congress.

The new bill’s requirements would apply to all HHS health service programs, requiring the health service employees to ask everyone receiving services their sexual orientation and gender identity -- including those that focus on children at school-based health centers. Children who seek help at government-funded school health clinics would be asked whether or not they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or if they know their gender identity.

Throwing children into the gaping maw of public school is to open them to indoctrination of the worst kind.

Good image. Public schools are the modern Molech. (I was in both public and, later, private.)

Your a defeatist.

I expect parents to remove children from the situation. Been there, done that. By example they will learn and have the strength to do it too.

Being respectful does not mean blindly following anyone. Two different things. When I decide my child will not participate is an activity, it is not rude. Later when me child declines to participate he/she will do so politely as well. None of my kids played the silent for a day gay thing, 2 walked out of Gore and MMoore showings, and my youngest opted out of the Barry show aired to schools last year. They were not alone, but in the minority. They should have been in the majority

Sometimes there is a price to pay, but there always will be won't there??

To: Leftism is Mentally Deranged

The reprobate mind seeks to make substitutions or exceptions for God’s commandments, many politicians do just that for the sake of political correctness.

The vast majority of small children will not be able to go against the teachers’ will. Additionally, many teachers are ultra leftists who will not brook any breaking in the ranks.

Additionally, the other kids there will influence children. And many schools are solid ultra leftist pits of depravity.

Daniel went into the lions’ den when he was grown, not a small child.

Your views are why I feel the way I do.

While you are not incorrect, you fail to comprehend what I posted. Many teachers are also conservative, who also must fight an uphill battle much of the time

You seem to give parents the same power you claim the schools do - none. By being weak you allow for the feeble minded to control your kids and you as a parent.

Young children will almost entirely identify a “preference”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I agree. There is a distinct difference between preference and sexual orientation.

As a female child growing up in the fifties, I would have preferred being a boy. Hey! Why not? It was manifestly evident that boys had more fun.

For example, if a child had to choose between cub scouts or brownies, only a idiot would have chosen brownies.

If this passes, I’m again being forced into the position of stating that sending you kid to public school is child abuse.

When will the public education advocates wake up and smell the coffee?

What will it take?

Many teachers are also conservative,...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It is absolutely and fundamentally IMPOSSIBLE for a government teacher to be “conservative”! Why?

Answer:

**ALL** government schools in this nation are: socilist-funded, compulsory, government owned and managed, government cartel and price-fixed monopolies, and utterly and completely GODLESS!

When a teacher agrees to work in a government school, they agree to support and uphold a system that teaches children to be comfortable with socialism, government compulsion, government ownership and management of a social service, government cartel and price-fixed monopolies, and GODLESSNESS!

A conservative and/or Christian teachers have only two choices. 1) They can sneak in a little free market philosophy and/or Christian belief into the school day...or...2) They can go along with the liberal/Marxist and godless agenda.

What are the consequences of this?

1)If these conservative Christian teachers attempted to sneak in a little conservativism and Christianity, they have taught the children that conservatives and Christians are **SNEAKY**.

2) If the conservative Christian goes along with the liberal/Marxist agenda, he teaches the children that conservative Christians will teach children concepts that are utterly and completely in opposition to their Christian and conservative beliefs. In other words, they teach the children that conservatives and Christians are HYPOCRITES!!!

Solution:

There is only **ONE** possible ethical and moral action that a conservative and Christian can take.

They MUST MUST MUST support the abolishment of government schools and they MUST MUST MUST work to get our nation's children into private conservative schools that thoroughly integrate that child's Judeo Christian beliefs and our nation's founding principles into every minute of their educational day.

So....If you know of a so-called conservative or Christian government school teacher who seems sooooo sweet and loves her cat...Please remember that that cute little man or woman is EATING the souls of children!!

metmom, please read post #72.

Government schools are utterly and completely evil.

It is evil to send a child into one of these pits of iniquity and it is evil to accept a paycheck from one as well.

Not enough. And what ever good you think that they can do is totally eradicated by mandates like this.

If they want to stay in the system, they have to submit.

Get you kids out of public schools NOW, before any more damage is done.

This Titanic is sinking. Let it go down.

You are too harsh in your criticism. I am feeble minded?

Parent can and should try. But most teachers are liberals. That’s the fact.

Children should not be the vanguard footsoldiers fighting the leftist education departments.

I’ll always vote for a social conservative as long as he or she is a fiscal conservative too. For example, Palin is on my list of acceptable candidates, Huckabee is not.

I agree - the idea that there are “lots” of conservative teachers is opinion not based on any fact. No doubt in some pockets of the country there may be more conservative teachers than others.

Teachers have to follow the laws and the school administrators or they lose their jobs. If the school administrators are conservative they can get away with that, but how many are?

Precious few.

Pure silliness!

I made sure not attack homeschooling, but doing it out of this kind of fear is nuts. Many of my kids best influences came from conservative teachers, to say they can't exist is idiotic.

Mine and many many more have graduated from the system unscathed, strong and conservative.

Again you misunderstand. I called those pushing this garbage feeble and those who run away rather than fight it for good of all weak. I assume this is not the sole reason people homeschool though

And again you insist on the thought process that gives teachers - strangers, more power than you over your children. Earlier you even included peer pressure as having a greater influence on your children. Where is the strength that you have over the teaching and molding your own offspring in that?
