GOP has tough road to win House
Politico ^ | 9/21/10 | MARTIN FROST

For the past month, most of the national press has been uncritically swallowing a steady diet of Republican propaganda: The race for the House is over; the Republicans have already won.

As someone who has been involved in congressional politics for more than 30 years and served as Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman for the 1996 and 1998 cycles, I questioned this. Instead, I took a state-by-state look at the electoral map, particularly after POLITICO published a bipartisan Battleground Poll on Sept. 16 that showed the generic ballot between Republicans and Democrats to be a 43 percent to 43 percent dead heat nationally.

The questions is: Will the ‘rat Congress be able to scuttle the ship of state before they are forced to walk the plank in January?

Agreed!

WE have two hills to climb in the next several months. We have to do very well in the elections. Not a given until after it happens. Expect lawsuits galore for all close races. And fraud up the wazoo. Second, as you said, we have to stop the lame ducks from finishing us off before January.

"He said if he could tell us even half of what the agenda is and what this administration plans to do to our country we couldn’t sleep at night"

And just WHY can't he tell us half of what the Admin has planned? Sounds like a BS "rouse the troops" speech to me.

The GOP under-performs because they have to cast legitimate votes. No multiple voters, deceased, illegal aliens or other illegitimate ballots allowed.

So the MSM, aka the DNC Propaganda arm, says.

The real question is: If the Dems do somehow rig the elections and retain control, what do WE THE PEOPLE do?

succeed? revolt? go gault? become sheeple again?

“If you think that the Chinese won’t hold this over us with all our debt you have another thought coming. Our children will have nothing.”

This is the money quote. Americans...and even Europeans, have NO comprehension of dealing en masse with a population unrestrained by Christian Western temperance.

All of the 20th century European , and even Soviet atrocities pale by comparison to what was experienced in the South Pacific in WWII and in Southeast Asia in Vietnam. The American media did NOT divulge even 5% of what transpired there during those times. Americans would NEVER have consented to let their family members go there if they knew.

Point being...there are some people in this world you do NOT want to owe money to...the Chinese and Japanese would be right at the top of my list...and only a foolish Congresscritter could allow that to happen to America.

GOOD NEWS FOR THE ECONOMY!!!!!

Unemployment numbers dropped by 27,000! to ONLY 447,000 new jobless claims this week!

And, And, the “recession” is now OFFICIALLY over! As of June of 2009! And, err, And, ummm, the Democrats will WIN, WIN, WIN, in 2010!

And...... Obama was greeted by cheers and an admiring crowd at his recent “Town Hall” meeting, which was completely positive and full of all the good and wonderful things that our exalted and wondrous leader has saved us from absolute Depression and economic disaster caused by those evil, nasty, greedy and awful Republican/Conservatives!

And, and Health Care will end the deficit! And Cap & tax will create economic prosperity never before seen in history! And Tea Party? (What's a Tea Party?)

I believe that the remarkable thing about the Battleground poll is that it is indeed tied. I think that this is the first time in history that Republican have been tied in this particular poll; in all previous polls the Republican have been behind.

Jonas Martin Frost III (born January 1, 1942) is an American politician, who was the Democratic representative to the U.S. House of Representatives for Texas's 24th congressional district from 1979 to 2005. He was married to U.S. Army Major General (Retired) Kathryn Frost until her death in 2006.

Frost ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the House in 1974. He tried again successfully in 1978, becoming the second[citation needed] Jewish U.S. congressman from Texas, the first being David Spangler Kaufman.

Frost was reelected 12 times without serious opposition. He served as chairman of the House Democratic Caucus from 1999 to 2003. However, he was one of the targets of a controversial mid-decade redistricting engineered by then-House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. His district, which included portions of Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington, was redrawn to be much more Republican. Its portions of Fort Worth and Arlington were replaced with wealthier and more Republican territory around Dallas.

While Al Gore won the old 24th fairly handily in 2000, the new 24th would have given George W. Bush a staggering 68 percent of the vote in that election. It was an open secret that the new 24th was redrawn for State Representative Kenny Marchant. Moreover, Frost's home in Arlington was shifted into the heavily Republican 6th District, represented by 10-term incumbent Joe Barton. Frost decided to seek re-election in the newly redrawn 32nd District, which included a considerable amount of territory that he had represented from 1979 until 1993. He lost by 10 points to Republican Pete Sessions. Since Ralph Hall's party switch earlier in 2004, Frost had been the only white Democrat to represent a significant portion of the Metroplex

HA HA HA HA HA!

He's a Democrat shill of the highest order.

This article might as well be written by Baghdad Bob, and claim that there are no American troops in Iraq.

Heh heh. I don't mean to tip them off, but what's happening should be obvious. The Dems are trying to keep their base motivated as well, and that's going to involve something of a "squeeze play". On one side you've got a minority contingent - suburban and rural blue collar Democrats who are upset with Obama for breaking his promise to govern as a centrist; while on the other there's the dominant faction - the hard-core, urbanized KosKidz, HuffPos and Olbermaniacs who are pissed at the President for not being Left enough. Keeping both sides happy is going to prove impossible.
