The positions are non-partisan but I heard Rizzo was registered as a democrat.

I hope it spreads like wildfire because this is happening in cities all over the country.

Especially because this is happening in California, I am optimistic that We The People are starting to pay attention to such things.

We only have about 100,000 more corrupt city governments to investigate.

And Chicago alone, would probably constitute about a quarter of them.

When are they going to arrest state and federal officials for squandering our hard earned money?

I would guess by the time they get around to the small towns like those Texas and Illinois, the city employees will be on greyhound buses to points unknown.

Larger cities will be harder to crack due to the level of government corruption in these large cities, and the fact that half these local government employees are likely being paid off in tax paid funds.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Like Senators and members of Congress?

That's the $60,000 question.

We only have about 100,000 more corrupt city governments to investigate.... This is a good start.

I think it will end with these characters, hence the high-profile nature of the story. Much back-patting to be had once justice is done with an assurance that "we can move on; nothing more to be seen here".

The very reason these people need to be dragged out by the hair of their heads and thrown into the streets for the buzzards.

There are other problematic cities to be sure, but this Bell thing is amazing.

Our police chief here in Glendale was wooed by Bell and went to work for them. His new yearly salary was about $450,000.00.

The guy was a great police chief in our town. He was well liked by everyone. Now this. I’m watching to see if he is one of the people who was arrested this morning.

I’m actually sad to see a guy that everyone liked, reduced to this. Time will tell if he was involved in any criminal activity. I hope not. That salary alone may be problematic. There is also talk of loans to make up portions of salaries or some such.

This is a real stinker of a mess.

I couldn't agree more....People are pissed off bad...

In fact, so pissed you can hear them on So. Cal radio stations demanding these arrogant government criminals be hung from the nearly light poles.

No joke...I've heard it....People are no longer holding back. They've just had enough!

What we'll see here is as other towns and cities are scrutinized, they'll start ratting each other out...No different than other common criminals.

First to squeal gets the deal.
