The United States was here long before Obama was,but maybe not much longer after he and his crowd get through with it.

I heard that too, but as long as it’s his wet dream I don’t care. If he screws up the ball bearing, the people who actually work have to replace it.

Sad bottom line to all of this is most of the electorate have no idea of history. This is especially true of the younger generation ( thank you public schools)

People will take obama’s word for it, count on it. We need a laugh at it and him campaign.

I think Obama is hinting that if he cannot get amnesty through he will turn Texas,New Mexico and Arizona over to Mexico after he bows to President Cardenas.

Agreed. But I do not trust the creation of crisis strategies of this Obama junta. I mean they could have cadres of provacateurs creating crisis and appearing to be Tea Partiers for example. A dozen of them armed with fully automatic rifles, wearing Tea party t-shirts , firing on a crowd of minority or ethnic demonstrators for example.

We haven't yet seen this side of Obama, although I am convinced that it is involved with giving aid and comfort to the drug cartels on the US side of the border in both Arizona and New Mexico, where vast estates of federal land are currently occupied by the cartels.I call them the Obama brown shirt reserves, armed with government of Mexico military ordnance. Remember that Obama refused to send NG units in strength to patrol the border of Arizona, and the one thousand he did send are no where near the border or interdiction corriders for the cartels. They are mere observers.Obama wants those safe havens for the drug cartels, and he wants rid of Arpaio who threatens to take his act outside of his own county.

This is why I am convinced that the thuggish side of Obama is operative, it has not been exposed yet. Certainly Arizonans know this for a fact.Obama supports the drug cartel invasion of Texas, Arizona and New Mexico.

The cartels form the ingrediants for the creation of crisis. Arizona is now in a checkmate position on the issue.Arizona will respond in force if Obama calls his cartel thugs out to create crisis. But Obama may still do so.

There's a great book about the Anasazi written by Craig Childs called "House of Rain." He's an anthropologist/adventurer who has hiked all over the desert looking at these ruins. It's a fascinating book (and a good travel/adventure story as well).

At one point, he proposes the possibility that a diet very heavy in corn increases the possibility for madness. Obviously, the southwestern tribes ate a lot of corn, but also beans, squash, etc. But corn became very important to their spiritual practices and some anthropologists think that it's possible that this could have the been the reason some medicine men literally "snapped" and that the cannibalism thing really did happen. If I recall correctly, Childs seemed to think the Anasazi were more closely related to the Pueblo than the Aztec tribes. It's still a mystery. But until I read the book, I had no idea that there were so many abandoned Anasazi ruins ... they are all over the place down here. ANd the one at Mesa Verde was a huge complex of great significance to the region. They're also fairly certain that cannibalism happened there, too. What they can't seem to figure out is why they abandoned these places, but it's possible that the water sources just dried up... as they do in the desert.

I do know that the local tribes will not set foot in those places. They won't even talk about them. They shut down completely if you ask them about it.

The canals in Phoenix were already here when we got here. They were built by the Hohokam. THe current canal system was based on what was already here.

These comments coming from Wartface are the same things I used to hear in college and just took it for truth. It wasn't until the internet came about and I got interested in history that I started looking into these "half truths." This remark about Mexicans inhabiting the States is along the same lines as the myth that the US tried to exterminate the Native American tribes by giving them blankets used by smallpox victims.

This myth originated with a letter written by a British general where he described visiting one of the tribes and (I'm paraphrasing because I don't have time to look up the exact quote) gave the Indians "gifts of provisions, medicine and blankets from the smallpox hospital. Hopefully this will have the desired effect." Of course, the quote was taken out of context and revised to mean that the "desired effect" was genocide by smallpox. If you read the entire letter in context, the meaning is clear that the "desired effect" was to befriend the tribe and enlist them to the British cause fighting the French. Then there's the "minor" fact that the entire concept of microbes or germs wasn't even understood for another 100 years after the letter was written. And even if they had understood such biological science, why would they risk losing an entire military troop handling the tainted blankets?

But I had been hearing that "truth" about the white man's genocide of the native tribes since I was in elementary school. And guess who was the worst propagator of this lie? "Professor" Ward Chuchill... Chief Sh!tting Bull himself.

I’ll put that on my list. I’m currently reading “Going Back to Bisbee,” which is chock-full of information about the borderlands.

I had hoped that at some point his citizenship qualification would be revealed to be non-existent. He could then be deemed to have never been qualified, and all of his activity could be scrubbed from our government.

He could then be tried for fraud.

The fact that this guy remains in a position of power with this level of incompetence, and I would even say intentional harm to the nation, is so unacceptable. It has basically destroyed my perception that our government was somewhat valid.

It isn’t any longer. Obama is a fraud, Congress is looking the other way, and our nation is in jeopardy due to this.

Great post. Sad but true. Our government and media have let us down by propping up this phony who demonstrates daily that he knows NOTHING about our country, and cares about it even less.
