The bottom line is that Californians LOVE taxes, just as long as some else is paying them.

Nothing stopping CA from enacting it’s own replacement tax to keep these folks happy.

I bet if Obama extends them and renames them the Obama cuts, they will love them.

I really suspect the internals here. It simply doesn’t make any sense and contradicts the results from every other poll on the subject.

Then again, if Californians really are this delusional, then I simply add one more reason to the 6,537 I already had for emigrating to a sane(r) location. Just hoping NC doesn’t catch the Californication bug. They really seem to be trolling to get it.

As the song says: God is great, beer is good, people are crazy.

Fortunately, nature is about to teach Californians that, “you can’t fool Mother Nature”. The titty is dry.

Not surprising since some 60% of Californians don’t pay taxes.

I will bet they polled this in lower income households.

The results would be very different if they had polled those making $75k+.

where is theobama guy who believes in selective killing, to rid the population of people too stupid to be productive citizens?

Note, this does NOT allow to all the good Calif freepers. We know you are trying.

Any wonder the Extreme Lib Dinosaurs Brown and Boxer are still in the running? In any other state they’d be toast. This poll probably is an accurate representation of the views of Californians. They live in fantasyland and when the Ponzi scheme runs out of suckers to fleece, they’ll scream like babies for a federal bailout. Saw it off and let it sink.

For the last 8 or 9 years people have heard the media and the Democrats denounce the Bush “tax cuts for the wealthy” and rarely heard anyone on the other side explain why they might be a good idea...so naturally a large part of the public will think they are a bad idea (especially since they aren’t being directly affected).

Did you have a job then? Do you have one now? How long do you think you´ll keep it if you do?

At least Bush, for all his faults, was not trying to destroy America as this islamist bastard is hell bent on doing.

the californians must not realize that the tax increases will not discriminate by state. Given the insane cost of living in california, most of those californians will enjoy paying their new taxes.

the Bush tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans to expire -- and overwhelmingly favor policies that allow the middle class to keep more of their earnings instead.

Isn't this two lies in one?

The Bush tax cuts were across-the-board were they not?

As far as I know there are no proposals from either side for a middle class tax cut. The Dems will never propose such a thing as it violates their goal of crushing anyone with an independent means of living. The GOP don't currently have the votes or the committees to do same.

So...it's either all or nothing with the Bush cuts. Therefore the poll is based on fantasy and fiction.
