Mr. Spillane,
I have to admit that I'm puzzled by one of your recent columns accusing me of a cheap shot on Barney Frank.
You said: So today, Bielat is out with a press release announcing that Barney Frank 'cooked the books' for House Financial Services Committee member Maxine Waters but he offers no fair-minded evidence that that was the case.
I know you're an intelligent man, and even the smartest of us make mistakes. So let's go look again at the evidence, shall we?
Last week, The Washington Post broke the story that OneUnited Bank received special treatment from Rep. Barney Frank that resulted in a $12 million taxpayer-funded bailout that they did not deserve.............

His opponent is gaining on him.

Mass Ping!
Sept 26th
“Please stop by historic Taunton Green at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday to meet Sean Bielat! Learn why this honorable US Marine is, without question, the right person at the right time to unseat a career politician who is shamefully out of touch both with his constituents AND the nation!”

Freepers are well advised to make a financial contribution to the Bielet For Congress campaign. Defeating Barney Frank in his bid for reelection would be a significant win for America and a huge win for conservatives and those who hold the constitution dear to their hearts. Money talks in the last weeks of all political campaigns, and Bielet could use your help.
I live in Maine, with a daughter and son-in-law in Massachusetts. My grandchild will live a better life without the likes of Barney Frank in power. Please give serious thought and prayer to fincially supporting Bielet For Congress and join the people who take action to defeat Barney Frank - who is a despicable human being and congress critter.
“In other words, Barney’s amendment instructed regulators to ignore accounting rules and allowed OneUnited Bank to claim $20 million it didn’t have, which ultimately helped OneUnited qualify for a bailout it didn’t deserve. No other banks received that kind of special treatment. Just OneUnited.”
“Watch him squirm.”
Now that mental image is just icky.
Not a good mental image when talking about Bwaney. ;~))
He got away with running a prostutition ring on our dime, so is anyone surprised by this?

Amen brother, I made a trip up to NH to see Sarah during the 2008 Campaign, if folks are in NE and have the time head on down to Taunton Green on the 26th!
I plan on being there with the usual suspects.
great piece.
bump
BUMP
This is the year the Banking Queen can be retired....
And Sean Bielat can win!
The question is how to, successfully, get the MAJORITY of Massachusetts voters to really vote for any/all candidates with an “R” next to their names. So many of these voters are: lifetime pro-Democratic Party voters, lifetime leftist voters, state workers, pro-labor unions, on trust funds, on welfare, and/or illegal immigrants.
PWND!!

Amazing what a tiny contribution of $10. does when thousands seize the moment and donate for a good cause! Plenty of good FReepers helped the coffers of Scott Brown and Chris Christie. I'll be donating small $ to plenty of big contests this year...
There’s a reward out for anyone who hears campaign Bwaney say “Obamacare, bailout, TARP, summer of recovery.”
A bonus is awarded if anyone sees a Coakley-like Obama last-minute fly-in.
Thanks for the link. We will put it on our list.
BWANEY FRANK AFTER THE HOUSING DEBACLE He now blames Republicans for the failure of Fannie and Freddie, when he spent years blocking GOP lawmakers from imposing tougher regulations on the mortgage giants.
In 1991, the year his live-in boyfriend, Herb Moses, was hired by Fannie, the Boston Globe reported that Frank pushed the agency to loosen regulations on mortgages for two-and-three-family homes, even though they were defaulting at twice and five times the rate of single homes, respectively.
Three years later, President Clintons HUD tried to impose a new regulation on Fannie, but was thwarted by Frank.
Clinton now blames such Democrats for planting the seeds of todays economic crisis. I think the responsibility that the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was president, to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Clinton said recently.
