New photos purportedly show Atlanta megachurch pastor Eddie Long posing in a bathroom mirror with muscle shirts. The photos were allegedly sent to at least one of the three young men who have filed lawsuits against Long in recent days for sexual harassment. In one photo, Long is shown wearing a sleeveless black muscle shirt and tight black shorts. In the other, he is wearing a short-sleeve red muscle shirt with jeans.
The photos themselves do not prove the plaintiffs' allegations, but they do raise questions about the minister's conduct and his relationship with the young men at the heart of the case.
Long, a married father of four, is known as a fierce opponent of gay rights and same-sex marriage and led a march against marriage equality rights from the site of Dr. Martin Luther King's gravesite years ago.
The new images were first released by ABC News in its Wednesday evening broadcast and have been circulating across the Internet since that time.
The men involved in the suits claim that Long wined and dined them, took them on expensive vacations across the world and sexually abused them during his relationships with them. Long, the church and his lawyers deny the allegations.
Long pastors the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, a church he built from 300 members to more than 25,000, according to recent reports.
But members of the church who were interviewed by reporters expressed their continued support for Rev. Long and denied allegations against him.
The story has made major headlines in the Atlanta area, and Long has already suffered at least some fallout. At least one prominent political official, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Roy Barnes, has reportedly canceled a fundraising event scheduled to take place with Long.
Apparently this slime was a big time Obama supporter too .... what a surprise (NOT!).

What preacher sends muscle shirt toilet pictures to teen boys? Hello? The homosexuals will try to condemn him as a ‘hypocrite’. But in reality it only confirms how destructive and perverted the whole lifestyle is in the first place.
A-Has there been a trial yet?
B-The lawsuit was filed by adults, not teens.
I have no opinion on Eddie Long one way or another I do think proclaiming anyone guilty before all of the facts are brought to light is unwise.
Let Long and these two young men have their day in court.
I would venture to say that he has a very low self esteem issue, maybe related to age. Men at this age who take pics of themselves are wanting to see how they look compared to others, probably younger than themselves. The have issues, how many issues is probably going to come to light.
He would be better served if he checked to see how his heart measured up. He’s supposed to be lifting up Jesus, not himself.

Is it even technically illegal for a Bishop to have sex with 16 or 17 year old boys? What exactly are the charges in the lawsuit? Maybe it is civil and not criminal.
I hope he will do the decent thing and resign from his position until this pass. I used to watch him until it appeared to me that his overall persona became more about his physique than humility and the Word.

I sort of noticed that as well, Eddie Long liked to lift weights and was a large man.
Resign?
Do not know if that is what he should do as if he truly believes he is in his calling then stepping back would be denying that calling if I’m being clear?
I do think he showed extraordinarily poor judgment,whether those allegations have merit or not, but that is one of the problems of Mega Churches, the Pastor (I think his title is Bishop) or whomever is the focal point of the Church and they have to be above reproach at all times.

Well maybe it takes one to know one, and maybe this public revelation will be a turning point for him, if he turns in the right direction. Mr Haggard knows the scorn he felt for the deception he masqueraded under and the freedom he felt hopefully when it was unmasked. I would like to think the best from this point forward. I’m glad these young men had the courage to come fwd.
Good point. I hope none of the young teen boys went on to choose the homosexual lifestyle. Authority figures can have a tremendous impact on youth, both positive and negative. Few public figures have the guts to speak out about homosexuals like Dr. Laura when she said that adult gay men are obsessed with young boys. I don’t know what is is about their lifestyle choice, but it doesn’t take a genius to see that their choices are incredibly unhealthy.

Sure, there’s never been a married man who liked little boys on the side.
I haven’t seen all the evidence on this, but these pictures look unseemly to say the least.
What I am wondering is: what kind of Baptist church was this that he was a “Bishop”? I wonder if he just gave himself that title, because I’ve never heard of a Baptist Bishop before this.
