“According to the news article linked here, the Chilean Rodeo Federation’s director “regretted what happened, but at the same time justified the attitude of the riders”.”
You just have love countries where people can still SPEAK FREELY.

Well, she would have been hurting more if she had been run over by a bucking bull.
I’d say they did her a favor.

Good thing she didnt protest a bullfight.LOL - you've got that right!
The title is a little misleading - I didn't really see any dragging. They basically stopped pulling her around when she sat down. I was expecting to see a good old-fashioned drag like you'd see in an old western movie.

She’s lucky she wasn’t protesting the women’s barrel racers.....
You can bet a few of the sore losers would have run her over....

Both yours and lowbridge's comments got me thinking how they might combine the two ideas and make a singles' event out of it, using the same approach as with the activist.
Might be the start of something big.

Utterly and completely wrong.
I laughed.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re PETA protesters, and you climb into a rodeo ring filled with men on horses, carrying lariats...you’re just asking for trouble.

That is so true. I had actually thought of including a “branding” comment in the way you just did but it slipped my mind. Thanks for posting it.

The cowboy was merely pulling her out of harms way.
Hope she doesn’t jump in the midst of a bull fight to Save the Bulls. That could get rough on the part of the bulls.

That is WAY too funny. It's like these @ssh*les in boats who go out and screw with the big commercial fishing mega-ships, raking baby seals and manatees bloody with their own propellers the whole way.
Or Al Gore flying in on his own 757 Wide Body Jumbo Jet to join the pollution protest (and the polluters, all at the same time!).
As for this daft bint at the rodeo, after they got done dragging her through the manure, they should have quick-tied her hands and feet and then branded her on the @ss!
LMAO!!!

Rodeo here is a very serious business complete with a STRICT dress and personal grooming code and a STRICT code of conduct while working in the ring. it’s very different from American Rodeo. Almost without exception Chileans eat MEAT and a lot of it! This girl put her self in the wrong place at the wrong time and paid the price.
The story has been all over the papers and most people are still laughing about it. Many think her actions and those of the cowboys could become a new sport!
