Coates: Obama appointee told me to stop pursuing race-neutral enforcement of Voting Rights Act
Hot Air ^ | SEPTEMBER 24, 2010 | Ed MORRISSEY

Posted on 09/24/2010 8:14:29 AM PDT by RobinMasters

PJTV is broadcasting the testimony of Christopher Coates to the Civil Rights Commission live this morning, but they already have his opening statement available in PDF format at Pajamas Media. It contains at least one bombshell, which is that Obama appointee Loretta King ordered Coates to stop asking applicants whether they supported race-neutral enforcement of the Voting Rights Act. The question became necessary because of resistance in the Civil Rights division from career attorneys to enforce the law when it resulted in African-American defendants rather than victims, an attitude that Coates first encountered in the Bush era:

CNN and MSNBC are ignoring this. They`re too busy with Steve Colbert on Capital Hill.

Sure. But the Justice Department has no intrest in protecting white people. Hmmm. What a surprise with the first Black Panther President.

This issue is going to explode AFTER the Dems lose the House. Issa is already gearing up to subpeona top DOJ and White House officials to testify before Congress about their racist behavior with regards to the Justice Dept. Look for Barry to claim ‘executive privilege’ to keep the illegal behavior by Holder and his lackeys from becoming a huge scandal that could lead all the way to him and/or Michelle. The iG firing of Walprin leads directly to M Obama, she was friend with the Mayor of Sacramento. Kevin Johnson, the former NBA star. The Obamas took office thinking they could do whatever they wanted, and as long as Nancy and Harry were around to protect them from Congress, they were right. Payback is a bitch, which they are soon to find out.

I wondered why the Walprin scandal all but dried up. So, you think Issa is just biding his time? I thought this was the scandal that would take with Barry and Me-chelle...perhaps it will be. One can only pray.

After I read the initial reports on the Washington Examiner, I couldn't believe that EVERYBODY wasn't all over the Kevin Johnson/Me-chelle connection. Sigh. Are people this stupid?

Report it to Rush, Drudge, Hannity, Beck, Levin. That way we know it will be given fair and extensive reporting.

This is why Colbert is there. It is to deflect attention away from the.Coates hearing. November cannot come soon enough.

As is traditional in America DOJ has absolutely no interest at all in protecting black victims from black assailants.

Black on black crime has never been a problem to the "elite" classes.

I read through Coates entire transcript. Wow just wow.

Several people need to be indicted for obstruction of justice posthaste and sent to prison.

And the 2nd question everybody would be asking if Obama were a republican: WHAT DID HE KNOW AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT???

Embarassing to watch defense of the indefensable, and the obfuscation on the committee to dwell more on Coates unpopularity among the Civil Rights oversight bunch. He probably is a curmudggeon, and a regular !#%$, but supposing he is, what would that have to do with the billy club incident?? This is a committee hearing divided by those touting the intimidation tactics of Coates boss, who told him to cool it with asking applicants if they can fairly apply the standards to non minorities, or something like that.

What this is: Blatant racism and obstruction of justice.

We have got to fight this.

And THAT is a truth that also needs to come out--because it is SO blatant. And the blood of those --REAL--victims it has claimed cries out for justice. But the "race-pimps" like Jessssseeee Jhaacckson (as Rush loves to call him) will not touch that issue with a ten foot pole, because they saw how quickly anyone (like Bill Cosby) who dares get near issue is excoriated, and told--basically--STFU!

That Obama has ignored this issue shows how much of the "third rail" Black on Black crime has become, and that is truly criminal!

Will any of the media (other than FNC) even mention this story/ If they do, the focus will probably be on discrediting Coates.

There was an interesting comment on the Hot Air site from someone in De Soto Co., Miss., whose vote was thrown out by local officials who claimed he hadn't registered to vote even though he had...sounds like that was done to a number of whites in that county.

My Congressman, Sensenbrenner is on the Judiciary Cmte. I have written to him and from his replies, I think he is itching to be back running that Cmte to expose the illegal behavior of the Obama Admin. Once he takes back over Judiciary, I will writing him about a few topics, Walprin being #1 on my list.
