Land Shark is funny. Candygram is funny. Rosanna Rosannadanna is funny.

A White girl playing like she is a vulgar Hispanic girl talking to a ‘real’ Black girl and chasing White people out of the Mall...well that’s just hilarious ha ha. ha ha. ha? What? How is that funny?

OMG! Where do you think all the negative opinions about Sarah Palin originate?

Answer: From the LSM and over 400 journ0lists and SNL that set out to destroy her from the day McCain named her as his VP and you think it’s helped her?

Truly, this is a subject for a separate thread, given that this thread YOU POSTED, is supposed to be about SNL’s unseemly treatment of Christine O’Donnell, but I have to tell you that untold millions still believe that Sarah Palin said that she could see Russia from her front porch, NOT Tina Fey.

Your point seems to be that being the most attacked politician in America, with her image hammered at constantly by every form of media, from news to comedy, helps her and other conservatives that are victim of the treatment, it doesn’t.

D, R, R, R, D, D, R, R, D

4 Democrats, 5 Republicans, all with the Presidents and the Presidential candidates being mocked by SNL.

Yes, NBC is a Democrat network. Has been for years. They might be nastier on the overall than before. But NBC just isn’t as powerful as before.

She runs for President, people see her, directly, in debates, unfiltered. They like her or they don’t. When do the high negatives become a problem? November 2012? If Palin can’t get the message out as the nominee, lower her unfavorables by just being herself, I dunno.

Sarah Palin shouldn't have had the negatives or the frivilous lawsuits (which were all dismissed, save for one on a technicality) but she got them anyway, because she just has to be destroyed for being genuine and conservative, so now she has an uphill battle, and you think it's just a matter of "They like her or they don’t."

Sheesh.

You tried to claim that the SNL treatment is great for conservatives like Christine and Palin.

That is one of the most stupid points of view that I have heard here at FR.

I’m saying it may. I’m saying that Palin is in the top spot.
I know that Christine is at $2.547 million. Without media attacks, media attention, she’s not flush with cash to spend on tv spots to remind people about the issues in the race and to do it over and over and over again.

We’ll see in November I suppose.

I agree with you, ansel12.

Sarah Palin is the proof.

FGS. Karl Rove’s outburst(s) and Rush Limbaugh got Christine the millions.

Even if she doesn’t get elected she’s done her job by slaying a RINO. It sends a message to the other RINOs that it’s open season on them.

She gets the nomination. there will be plenty of time to people to make up their mind about sarah by seeing the real sarah.

I think that if they didn’t want her out front, for whatever reason, they could’ve ignored her.

Christine gets money, lots of it, from these attacks. She was broke. TV says “no need to talk about Christine”, Christine is not covered. No money. It’s very possible this election could’ve just passed along without attention. That would’ve been likely a Castle victory. But this became a spotlight race, and Christine won. Back in May, the hits were predictable. On balance, a benefit. We’ll know in November.

These hits from SNL give an even greater excuse for favorable coverage from Fox News. More time, longer interviews, the time to really explain everything and get people to love her. 60 Minutes Clinton Super Bowl.

But I think that it could be treated just like a distraction and hammer on the core message. Coons will vote the way Obama wants. I will vote the opposite. And isn’t that most of the voters vote on? She’s a celebrity now. She can go somewhere and talk to voters and they’d be talking to somebody they saw on SNL. They’d like that I think. Walk around fairs and such, shake hands. But it’s the famous Christine O’Donnell who is actually really cool and nice.

Agreed. But this is part of that. This is the Palin treatment. We can argue over whether liberals would’ve had a favorable opinion of her whether they heard her name 100x a day or none. If you’re talking about someone they should be important.

Sarah Palin is in great shape, you’re seeming to imply that she isn’t?

Sarah Palin went on SNL herself, after they’d been making fun of her.

Why would she do that if all that hurt her?

What is the adage, that there is no such thing as bad publicity?

Now, SNL is reduced to making juvenile jokes about jerking off (and there is a reason that “jerk” is a pejorative to this day). As for witchcraft, she can visit me any Halloween as far as I’m concerned.

And it doesn’t matter what millions of Americans think now.
She’s the front runner, a likely Nomination (watch out for neocon factor though), and will be able to state her case directly to the people. If she wants she can say 3 times, and “yes, I can see Russia from an Alaskan Island” She could go there. In a TV commercial. “This is Alaska.” And then zoom the camera to Russia. “And that is Russia” and everyone will know in an instant that the media has been lying and that palin is a victim. So, just don’t worry about Palin right now. She’s leading. Romney is in Illinois with Mark Kirk. Palin is with all the tea party candidates and others, and they all really appreciate her.

Palin has high negatives. True. And her supporters love her all the more for all the attacks.

Wanker is another.

Right. As long as they spell the name right. I did not dislike the character of Christine O’Donnell as played by Wiig.

Palin went on SNL herself. I see it as a good thing. Gives her higher visibility. She’s more of a star if she wants to talk to college kids at U Del. More kids might show up to hear what she actually has to say. And she definitely could win those kids over. U Del has around 20K.

The turnout in 2006 was 242K, 398K in 2008.
