Well maybe, I don’t wish ill towards them, it’s the damn attitude and lack of supervision that gets me. These guys make good money.

They wont be fired.
I am sure a 28 day stay at ClubMed rehab is covered on their medical insurance.

That's why I would like to buy a Ford, but I won't. If they were to ever purge themselves of the unions, I would buy their products.
GM and Chrysler? Do I have to elaborate?

This kind of crap is the WORST-Kept secret in Union factories.
I can tell you stories about it that will curl your hair. Like the Hidy-Holes in Union steel mills, complete with beds, frigdges, big-screen TV’s and Air-Conditioners where workers hide for HOURS from management.
And even better, when found, AS LONG AS THEY AREN’T ASLEEP, they cannot be fired!!!

Does a banker operate a machine that can flatten you to a 10/th of an inch, using hundreds of tons of pressure?

I believe they are all suspended without pay . . . . Thanks for the first laugh I've had all day.

Note the Harley T-shirts on the drunks.

What caught my attention was a Chrysler-Fiat worker driving off in
a Ford Mustang.
Well, I guess I can’t fault ‘em for having at least some good taste.

Sarcasm aside, I'm pretty sure that if they're diagnosed as alcoholics they do enjoy a great deal of legal protection. Don't you know everyone is a victim?
To: eyedigress
I can just imagine some fat-ass UAW worker getting busted for alcohol, he’d probably get “Employee of the Month.” And full pay.

I would suggest resume’s swamp this plant asking for the high dollar line job that provides times for drinking and smoking dope at lunch.

Then you’re smoking something. They won’t be fired, they’ll be suspended until the media moves on to something else and then they’ll be reinstated or transferred and reinstated.

Yeah I liked that Mustang. Hopefully it will be repo’ed soon.
I can tell you that if Uncle Sam cut off taxpayer $ to Chrysler/Fiat and GM - they would be out of business in a month.
I wonder what a GOP Congress will do about them?
