NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Former President Bill Clinton rallied the Democratic faithful in New England on Sunday, urging them to support his longtime friend and U.S. Senate candidate Richard Blumenthal in Connecticut and persuade their neighbors not to give in to their anger toward the economy and incumbents.
He also made stops in Maine and Massachusetts, appearing with candidates for governor and other offices.
"Any time in life you make a really important decision when you're mad, there's about an 80 percent chance you'll make a mistake," Clinton told a crowd in New Haven, Conn., estimated by Blumenthal's campaign to be about 2,000. "So the trick is to channel your anger, not be consumed by it."
Blumenthal, a Yale Law School classmate of Clinton's, is in a tight race against Republican Linda McMahon to fill Sen. Chris Dodd's seat.
McMahon, a former wrestling executive and political newcomer who has pledged to spend as much as $50 million of her own money on the race, isn't considered a tea party activist but has capitalized on the mood for change in Washington and has shrunk Blumenthal's lead to six percentage points, according the latest Quinnipiac University Poll,

Is it just me, or does the idea of having Bubba Clinton campaigning seem ...strange:
1) Ignored the true danger the FIRST WTC attack.
2) Was a supporter of outsourcing American jobs to India.
3) Ignored the implications of the Emassy bombings in Kenya.
4) Ignored the IMMEDIATE danger the USS COLE bombing presented to America. (Embassy bombing mastermind planned the COLE bombing.
5) Thinks sticking a cigar in a young women is acceptable behavour of a POTUS.
6) Repeatedly lied to his Wife.
7) LIED to the American People and committed Impeachable offenses. (he owes a big TY to RINOS on that one.
I MEAN COM-ON FOLKS WHERE IS THE ROFLMAO OUTCRY AT THE DISGUSTING INSULT TO EVERYONES INTELLIGENCE.
Bubba must be laughing his butt off...I'm sure he doesn't give a damn about Obama...or the party....he just loves the spotlight.
I suspect this is the truth.
Mad refers to insane people and rabid dogs. He should have said angry. I guess Bill wasted his time at Oxford while not inhaling.
I remember, back when 0bama was elected, Rush said to watch it all unfold. Someday, no matter how “independent” 0bama claimed to be from Clinton, Inc., he would have to make a deal with Bubba and beg for his help.
And here we are...
If the President of the United States can not fill a room of 650 at a fund raising event, in NYC, and Brney Frank needs Klinton to promote him - the northeast is a lost cause for many politicians with a D after their name.
