'Credible But Not Specific' Threat of New Terrorist Attack (It's not October yet, fool!)

US and European officials said Tuesday they have detected a plot to carry out a major, coordinated series of new terror attacks in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and possibly the United States.

A senior US official said that while there is a "credible" threat, no specific time or place is known. President Obama has been briefed about the threat, say senior US officials.

Intelligence and law enforcement authorities in the US and Europe said the threat information is based on the interrogation of a suspected German terrorist allegedly captured on his way to Europe in late summer and now being held at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.

US law enforcement officials say they have been told the terrorists were planning a series of "Mumbai-style" commando raids on what were termed "economic or soft" targets in the countries.

In testimony before Congress last week, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said, "We are all seeing increased activity by a more diverse set of groups and a more diverse set of threats."

"I am not sure who the bigger terrorist is, the subject of the briefing or the person being briefed?"

Also interesting to note, the subject of the briefing or the person being briefed are the same.

“This is where ccw has it over open carry. Folks open carrying will be targeted and cut down by the terrorists just like they’ll target security and cops in the mall as a threat to the operation. But they won’t know who is concealing the weapon until it’s too late and the lead is flying back in their direction.”

as soon as the first shot is fired... i think most of the ccw guys will be gun drawn and in low ready.. so that pretty much nullifies that.

you can not win in a quick draw contest from a concealment holster vs a tango with an ak already out and active.

The "terror" of a persistent non-specific "unknown" threat is probably more physiologically damaging to a population than an actual incident.

When the fight or flight mechanism is continuously activated in an organism that is unable to manage the physiological response, the predictable result is exhaustion.... weakness,  vulnerability -  and death.

“President Obama has been briefed about the threat”

Thank god, what a relief! We should all feel much safer now. Where is he hiding under the bed?

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT:

Thanks for the ping, bro.

Nuclear Terror, Lookingglass hit #4 within ONLY 24 HOURS.

Even I'm getting a little freaked out now. Seems my temporal sequencing was not only off, but completely wrong. Unnecessary. All these things are showing up simultaneously.

Looks like all the conversations about the Nuclear Terror, Disclosure/Space Weirdness, Election Fraud/CW2, Economic Holocaust, and the Quakes are co-resident in time.

The only thing missing now is a huge economic event, and a 8.0 quake or two.

The way the data is shaking out, I'd say both of these are due within 72 hours, at the latest.

Of course, my timing is always wrong.

LOL. Some have noticed.

Of course, most folks timing in such spheres seems to be off.

I’m a reasonable guy, I’m not a conspiracy theorist type and there are no black helicopters over my house with government agents attempting to read my brain waves.

That said, just last night I was musing about the current uniform public thought that some type of apocalyptic event will occur in the near future.

This is illustrated by recently released movies and obvious geopolitical events. It’s as if everyone has come to terms that a major global event is on the horizon. That the current paradigm of human life is about to be changed forever.

Or maybe I’m not so reasonable after all...

“Credible but not specific” is more detail than Americans have on Barack Obama who is neither credible nor specific.

I guarantee you that if a ‘Mumbai’ or Beslan style attack happens in this country, Americans will not sit around and wait for the police SWAT team to take their sweet time rescuing their family members.

If they use this as an excuse to “postpone” the election, how many FReepers will defend the excuse because it is for “safety”?

They probably won’t postpone the election, but it’s possible. I find wondering about how many FReepers are ready, willing, and able to give up whatever freedoms government demands for the false promises of safety far more interesting.

My guess is at least 40% of FReepers would defend it “for the children”.
