just google the reporter and you will see they generally cover the homosexual beat at the newsdesk.

IF this had been a cupcake store WHY would they even need to say this was for a sex fetish party?

I am reminded of South Park, and when they discovered Tom Cruise working at the candy factory as a fudge packer....

Rainbows are pretty standard cake decorations. I see them regularly in standard sealed packs at Kroger. A penis shaped cake order I could understand refusing. But making an issue over a rainbow swirl on some cupcakes, that’s senseless. “I explained we’re a family-run business, we have two young, impressionable daughters and we thought maybe it was best not to do that,” said co-owner David Stockton.” How little trust he has in his daughters if he fears food-colored sugar glaze could turn them.
maybe he just hates faggots like most of us!

You can’t expect them to have the capacity to make a cupcake when they can’t even get the process for creating life correct.....

Wouldn’t rainbow Twinkies be more appropriate?

“The “rights” of everyone but the baker...”

Why not? They are just using the same philosophy behind the smoking bans at privately owned businesses. Many a FReeper celebrated those bans, now the tools they established are honed for use in many other ereas of non conforming private businesses.

Media opportunity calculations were performed to determine the store most likely to refuse to make rainbow colored cupcakes, and “Just Cookies” was chosen for the obvious reason.

When “Just Brakes” refuses to perform transmission work on my car I am gonna go on a media blitz ...

If a group that was known for engaging in sex with animals wanted into the bakery to order cupcakes for a public celebration of their lust preferences, no one would complain that the baker refused to make cupcakes for them to serve at an event honoring their lusts.

Homosexuals are not a 'race' of people, they are people who like to have sex with others of the same sex. It is a sexual preference that is revolting to some, even morally wrong.

Therefore, if a group that engages in same sex stuff and wants to celebrate their lust preference orders cupcakes from a business owner who finds their activities offensive, HE HAS EVERY RIGHT to refuse to support their cause.

Word of refusal will probably hurt his business, but he is standing on principle. Hope we are still allowed to do that in our country.

What homosexuals will never get is that even if they can manage to turn of the instinctive yuck factor so many have in reaction to their sexual proclivities, social acceptance will NEVER help them alliviate their own deep, deep self loathing. They know it, and we know it. That is why they die early. Not society, but the fact that they know it is a genuinely perverted behavior.

A bakery is not a “public service”. Its a private business. It serves people who privately seek its services. It chooses its customers as much as they chose to ASK for the baker’s services. One person has no more “right” to demand the baker’s services than the next.

The business has the right to refuse service but, personally, the correct response should have been to take the order, advise an added surcharge for the extra coloring and kept the money.

Now, if the baker was asked to draw penises on the cookies, or something like that, I'd refuse because of values. But if the issue was simply a multi-colored cookie, I think they over-reacted.

It would be like going to Burger King and complaining that they didn't give you a lube job.

It's easy to get a lube at Burger King. Just ask for extra mayonnaise. Or no mayonnaise because the illegals and teenagers making the sandwiches often seem to disregard the word "no".

Gee, it never occurred to them to find another bakery.

I smell a setup.”

Go make your own cupcakes!!!!!!!

Go make your own cookies & decorate them as you wish!!!!

As a private business, I have the right to refuse service to anyone I want.

Wonder if they would ship goods across the country?

What is their speciality? Next time I am near that area, I will remember to make a purchase.
