Judicial Watch uncovers FDA records detailing 16 new deaths tied to Gardisil

Records Document 3,589 Adverse Reactions Related to Gardasil between May 2009 and September 2010, Including 213 Cases Resulting in Permanent Disability

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has received new documents from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), detailing reports of adverse reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), Gardasil. The adverse reactions include 16 new deaths (including four suicides) between May 2009 and September 2010. The FDA also produced 789 “serious” reports, with 213 cases resulting in permanent disability and 25 resulting in a diagnosis of Guillain Barre Syndrome.

Adverse report excerpts include:

• A nineteen year old girl with no medical history except occasional cases bronchitis received Gardasil and in 53 days, had “Headache, Nausea, dizziness, chilling, tiredness, shortness of breath, complained of chest plain, severe cramps.” She experienced an Acute Cardiac Arrhythmia. Attempts to resuscitate her resulted in a sternal fracture, but were unsuccessful and the patient died. — V. 356938
• A thirteen year old girl was vaccinated on July 17th, 2009. Ten days later, she developed a fever and was treated. However, “the patient did not recover and was admitted to the hospital on [August 8th]…She developed dyspnoea and went into a coma…she expired [that day] at around 9:00 pm. The cause of death was determined as ‘death due to viral fever.’ … This event occurred after 23 days of receiving first dose of Gardasil. — V. 380081
• Thirteen days after vaccination, a ten year old girl developed “progressive loss of strength in lower and upper extremities almost totally…Nerve conduction studies [showed Guillain Barre Syndrome].” Case was “considered to be immediately life-threatening.” — V. 339375

One mother of a 13-year old girl who died 37 days after receiving the vaccination noted in a report: “I first declined getting her the vaccination but her doctor ensured me that it was safe…” After her daughter complained of a severe headache, no feeling in her foot and a tingling feeling in her leg, a doctor’s appointment was set for October 23, 2009. “My daughter never made it to Oct[ober] 23rd, which is also her birthday,” the mother noted. “She passed on Oct[ober] 17th, I found her cold unresponsive in her room at 7am….”

“To say Gardasil has a suspect safety record is a big understatement. These reports are troubling and show that the FDA and other public health authorities may be asleep at the switch,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “In the meantime, the public relations push for Gardasil by Merck and politicians on Capitol Hill continues. No one should require this vaccine for young children.”

In 2008, Judicial Watch launched an investigation of the FDA's reporting on adverse reactions to vaccinations for HPV. All previous FDA documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, as well as a Judicial Watch special report, entitled “Examining the FDA’s HPV Vaccine Records: Detailing the Approval Process, Side-Effects, Safety Concerns & Marketing Practices of a Large Scale Health Experiment,” are available.

Thanks for the alert. These things are good to know.

I have noticed that the health authorities are particularly delinquent in noticing any adverse effects caused by anything to do with sexually transmitted diseases, abortion, or birth control.

I think this is partly a matter of ideology. They are determined that everbody should have free sex without consequences.

But it is also partly corruption. Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry make a ton of money catering to the sex purveyors this area, and they make big donations to leftist politicians—donations largely funded by our tax dollars.

It’s available to military women, but not required.

There are 20 or so states (best i remember, number is approximate) that are/were considering making this vaccine a requirement for girls.

I would like to see more proof that such deaths are definitely caused by Gardisil vaccinations rather than something else.

How do the side effects of this vaccination compare with the side effects of other vaccinations?

Is the death rate of complications from Gardisil higher than for other vaccinations, say for measles or influenza?

Are all of these deaths caused by Gardisil, or have other substances or medical conditions been determined as the cause of death by a coroner after autopsy?

I don’t know about the military, but they try to give it to the dependent daughters of the military.

Like "cap and tax" there is an economic angle.

They FORCE by law everyone to take it, cleverly investing
in the companies and distribution systems.

Of course, there is NO accountability. No transparency.

Who’s documenting the death toll for RU486?

It’s much larger than 16!

The “morning after pill” is far more toxic and easy to misuse!

From your second UK link:

Snip: The Cervarix vaccine is being given to all girls aged 12 and 13 in a nationwide programme. So far, more than 1.4million doses have been given out, and all under the age of 18 will have received it by 2011.

Around the world, Cervarix and another version, Gardasil, have been linked to 30 deaths as well as cases of Guillain-Barre syndrome - a little-understood immune disorder.

I tried to research your question, and here's what I found:

RU 486 has killed thirteen women

After 10 years, RU 4896 abortion drug hasn't helped women as promised

Snip: Two women have written editorials about the tenth anniversary of the RU 486 abortion drug, which has been responsible for the deaths of dozens of women and injuring thousands more across the globe. They say the abortion pill was supposed to help women but can't find any evidence of that.

Some people line up year after year for their flu shots. Many don't research side effects or concerns set forth by other nations.

H1N1 has neurological side effects

At the peak of the H1N1 virus pandemic last fall, Josh Bonkowsky received call after call to treat children with H1N1 who were also experiencing neurological complications such as seizures.

Thousands of USA pregnant women miscarry after the H1N1 vaccine

A new report by the National Coalition of Organized Women (NCOW), states, that as many as 3,587 cases, may of either miscarried or had a stillbirth after receiving the H1N1 vaccine.

I don't really see what in those reports tie the deaths to Gardisil. A couple of the cases mention fever and headache, but that's hardly an indication that they had the same cause.

Many millions receive this vaccine. It is statistically probable that some will get seriously and even critically ill in the days and weeks following even if it has absolutely nothing to do with the vaccination.

Reports that a relatively small number of people got sick and died in the weeks following their vaccination does not show that Gardisil was the cause. It is important that such illnesses and deaths were reported to the FDA so they could investigate if there was a direct connection, or if the vaccine made them more susceptible to other illnesses.

However that does not mean that the deaths were tied to Gardisil.

Judicial Watch wins one in Arizona

A week after getting smacked down by a California judge, Judicial Watch—the right-wing group that’s hinted at legal action over the City’s funding of Casa Latina—Casa Latina—is claiming victory in Arizona.

Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon has dropped his support of an immigration policy which would have prevented police from contacting immigration agencies to report suspects they believe to be illegal immigrants.

Richard Fine vs. the State of California and LA County

Since 2005, only 3 people have won cases against the County of Los Angeles when a LA Superior Court judge decided the case, leading many to conclude that the illegal payments authorized by the LA County Supervisors are bribes.  Judicial Watch won a case, Sturgeon vs. LA County, which declared that the payments to the LA Superior Court judges are illegal.

Guillain Barre has an incidence rate of 1 or 2 per 100,000.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillain_Barre_Syndrome

Since there have been 1.4 million people given Gardisil in Britian and many more around the world, you would expect to have some of those people come down with GBS unrelated to the Gardisil.

You would also expect some to get sick and die from other causes unrelated to Gardisil from a pool of millions.

So how are these deaths linked to Gardisil other than comming in the weeks following the vaccination. I don't see anything in the Judicial Watch report that actually ties the illnesses or deaths to Gardisil.

I was just discussing this with my dentist and his assistant today. I happen to be doing research in this area, so they asked.

I do not think that Gardasil is in any way harmful, and nothing in the article indicated otherwise. Just from chance alone, you expect to see a certain number of people having adverse medical conditions after receiving a vaccine.

But: there are over 100 different human papillomaviruses (HPVs). The Gardasil only protects against 4. Two of those, 16 and 18, are the most oncogenic (cancer-causing) of the HPVs. However, anyone thinking they’re going to absolutely protect their daughters by getting them that vaccine is wrong: there are still over 100 HPVs out there that those girls won’t be protected against. So, in weighing the cost/benefit of the vaccine, that is what I would consider. And I don’t know what my final decision would be.

That's why we post these articles, so you can make your own determination to receive the vaccine.

The article doesn't give you any context by which to evaluate the data. It doesn't even provide you enough data from which you can reasonably understand the risks or compare them to the benefits.

Saying that these deaths and illnesses are tied to Gardisil makes it sound like it has been determined that they were caused by Gardisil which seems at best misleading. You don't help people make informed decision by providing information in a misleading way and excluding any information that might put it in a useful context isn't helping people make informed decisions.

These are important issues. These vaccines do save lives. They also present some risks. However scaring people away from them without solid reason may very well put them at increased risk. Don't you think you have an obligation to try and present the information in a less biased way?

That's a lot of accusation and information you're asking of me from an article I didn't write. I posted it because it appears there have been deaths and reactions to the vacccine, It's informative for those who wish to delve further into the product. If you want more information, please seek it on the internet. By your standards, no one would post anything here on FR and I will NOT be bullied for posting an article. Take your accusatory questions up with the people who wrote the article please!

I agree with you 100%. It’s a personal decision and one that needs investigation and review. I do believe that weighing in the side-effects of the vaccine is very important, besides the cost and benefits you mention.

You are right. I got carried away and was way out of line. Please accept my apologies. You are not responsible for the irresponsible acts of others.

I would caution that you should try not to propagate information that has been skewed in such a way that is misleads people. However, it is ultimately the fault of the people that skewed the information, not yours.

Apology accepted. Please understand everyone posting here is entitled to their opinion. In no way did I ever attempt to make you believe in my opinion, if one was given. I have granddaughters and their health and safety is of utmost concern to me. If ANYTHING appears to be a threat to them or their parents, I want them to know the threat exists and then they can make their own decisions how to deal with it.
