Tony Curtis was one of my first loves. In retrospect he was a beautiful face, and a fair actor, but he and Janet Leigh brought lots of joy to my young life. Rest in peace, Tony.

When I was 10 years old - in 1965 - I watched The Great Race 10 times - he was a terrific actor - full of fun yet great in Spartacus too.

It is amazing how fast Wikipedia is updated. It’s already there.

I liked Tony Curtis but he was far better suited for comedy than for drama. It’s hard to watch a movie like Spartacus when an actor (Curtis) speaks with a Brooklyn accent.
To: prisoner6
RIP, Mr. Curtis...enjoyed many of your on-screen performances...

Tony Curtis was a great entertainer. Mrs. 40 and I rented ‘Sex And The S1ngle Girl” (sic) a few weeks ago. It was a pretty good movie from 1964 and he was great in it.

Don’t think I’ve seen it ten times yet, but definitely one of my favorites, along with the Carry Grant submarine movie. The one whose title escapes me.

One of his early successes was ‘The Sweet Smell of Success’, with Burt Lancaster. It was an attack on the gossip columnist, Walter Winchell, with lines like “you’re a cookie full of arsenic” (Lancaster to Curtis).

Possibly my favorite movie - the dialogue by Clifford Odets still stings like a wasp!
You’ve given away my moniker, lol! Love the actress, dislike her politics.

Curtis on the left and Lemon on the right. Right? But then Lemon was definitely on the Left. I’m so confused. ;^)
