Last Sunday in Prepare for Currency/Trade Wars; How Might China Respond to US Tariffs? I mentioned the possibility China might shut off exports of rare earth metals used in making glass for solar panels, motors that help propel hybrid cars like the Toyota Prius, and laser guided bombs.

The Communist Chinese have been in a Trade War with the US ever since they “opened up” their “markets”. Only a Free Trade Globalist thinks that Communist China has been playing fairly all these years.

Need a 25% tarriff on all goods from Communist China. Problem is that Obama is too much a Liberal Globalist to do anything about Communist China

The big problem is that while we do have rare earths, we also have this:

effing regulations by the envirowako’s...I know companies laying off employees because of the prices and China holding them hostage. Very crazy stuff. This is an important element as the article states.
