Then how do you explain people who are born with both genitalia?

That is physical and genetic like eye color. Behavior is not genetic.

and it's not for me to judge them.

Their behavior is deviant and judgeable. Behavior is not genetic.

I agree! The human genome is a complex little bugger! The homosexuals I know personally (and no, I’m not one) are decent people. With the exception of pedophilia, the sex lives of consenting adults are no one’s business. Even Rush is not the “homophobe” the left always try to portray him as. He even had Elton John sing at his wedding and from all accounts, he and Elton got along famously. Interestingly however, Elton agreed with Rush on the subject of marriage (that it should be between a man and woman).

GOProud and Log Cabin Republicans push homosexual rights. Your friends may not be members.

"Homosexual rights" are a front for the technique of selling various "special political favors" to voting blocks. Whether gays, women, illegal mexicans, or bald-head left-handed one-eyed soccer goalies, the particular application is irrelevent.

What IS relevant is that the only way to ENFORCE these special "rights" (which actually are privileges), is to throw out the original Constitution's "all people" doctrine of negative rights-due process equality, in favor of the 14th Amendment's ownership of US citizens by the government.

"Real conservatives" should be (by definition) obsessed with what's behind the curtain here! Instead, everyone talks about how filthy gay sex is, how unladylike modern women are, how criminal illegal Mexicans are, and how lousy bald-head left-handed one-eyed soccer goalies play - and I'm not even starting on the damnations of the religiously righteous.

But it's all a ruse, and conservatives eat it up while the progressives they so loathe laugh at them.

Tea Party? Great for the "vote the bums out," which is currently crucial. THEN WHAT? Progressives SEE the tidal wave coming, so they're pulling out and ducking. Then, divide-and-conquer starts up all over again.

The Original Constitution of Negative Rights - it's not just a good idea, it's the closest thing we have to Divine Law. We ignore it at out endlessly repeated peril.

However, their attempts to redefine marriage, outlaw disapproval, and indoctrinate school children are intolerable.

Homosexuals I know agree completely with this statement. They are mostly older gentlemen, that want to be left alone. They have nothing to to do with this "in your face" commy BS seen on TV.

Yeah. But those friends of his may not be card carrying members of a homosexual rights group. I believe that homosexuality is a mental/emotional illness. But some are crazier than others.

Homosexuality is genetic

That depends on who you talk with, what they mean and how linkages and traits fit into the equation. What many don't understand is that linkages and traits do not imply causation.

Some use the term homosexuality to mean same-sex attraction while others use it to mean behavior. The latter is the correct usage. Same-sex attraction is just that, attraction.

What science tells us is that nobody is born with same-sex attraction. After decades of research, science still tells us environment is the major factor in determining our sexuality. Some peoples heads explode when I say that, but that doesn't make it any less true.

I've stated this many times on FR over the years and some people can't quite grasp it. And no, I'm not saying you are one of them, just that many here can't grasp the concept. The science behind sexuality is quite complex and cannot be easily understood.

One thing scientists will agree on is that same-sex attraction cannot be explained without reference to environmental factors. That last sentence is still true after decades of research — believing it to be false doesn't make it false. It's complicated.

I hope that helps...

Because of the business I am in, I am friends with several gay women and men. The women tend to lean Republican and conservative.

Seventy-five percent of homosexuals voted for Obama in the last election.

Talisker’s post is promoting homosexuality as a right. Next it will be conservative polygamists, or conservative pedophiles.

Of course the other tell tale sign that Talisker is a progressive is his bash on Bible thumpers and how the Constitution is there (in his view) to make them mind there own business. It is obvious that it is religious expression in public that Taliker finds dangerous and not the open expression of perversion in public.

2 were very effeminate in physical appearance and mannerisms and it was obvious that they were gay.

The mannerism are learned. Homosexual males don't naturally have a high-pitched voice and talk like Ann Coulter in most cases.

Homosexuality and conservatism are two ideas that are incompatible.

Is this dogma or is there reason behind this statement?

So? There is no homosexual gene.

From the homosexual propaganda book, After the Ball:

Page 184: “We argue that for all practical purposes, gays should be considered to have been born gay, even though sexual orientation, for most humans, seems to be the product of a complex interaction between innate predispositions and environmental factors during childhood and early adolescence”

Seventy-five percent of homosexuals voted for Obama in the last election

And if conservatives are smart, and show what happens to homosexuals in muslim countries.....75% will be voting for something other than another obama.

That is physical and genetic like eye color. Behavior is not genetic.

Have you ever noticed that many homosexual men (not all but many) have distinct feminine characteristics - facial appearance, gate, hips, etc. You are stating your opinion as if it is settled fact - it is not! I am saying in MY opinion it is very likely that there is some genetic component. I happen to be involved with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (www.nami.org) and I deal with families who have loved ones diagnosed with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia. If you saw someone with schizophrenia just standing in a crowd, you would see NO physical characteristics that would tell you that the person had this terrible illness, which does have a definite genetic component. Their genetic makeup is what gives them their illness and it affects their behavior....and in the case of someone in the throws of a schizophrenic, psychotic episode, for example, their behavior is directly affected and they are not always in control of that behavior. By your logic, someone who is schizophrenic exhibits their behavior by choice (their behavior is all you SEE of their condition). But as someone who has a loved one with a serious mental illness, I can assure you their behavior is NOT by choice.

You keep pushing your “negative rights” crap.

I keep pushing freedom crap, too. And Constitution crap. And due process crap. I have uncles who fought and died for all of this crap, as I would, if I had to.

And all of the people they fought, thought what they were fighting for was crap.

I don't believe a real conservative could put the words "negative rights" and "crap" together. It's like putting the words "fresh water" and "crap" together - it literally would not occur to them.

But a Leftist infiltrator would do it with glee.

If that were true, then homosexuality is just nature’s way of saying this experiment needs to be terminated.

You hear this faulty reasoning alot whereas people claim that they could tell so and so was going to be gay.

Yet how do these same people then explain people with the same characteristics that do not engage in such perverse behavior?

If there was any genetic or even known medical reason for homosexuality then there would be a test for it. There is not though. The only way to know if someone engages in homsexuality is through there behavior. Thus is it behavioral and not medical or genetic.
