Larry Kudlow just insisted on a rumor we've heard several times: Michael Bloomberg is going to be treasury secretary.
Kudlow says he heard from "deep insiders" that the pick has been made and it's Bloomberg.
Of course this also confirms rumors that Tim Geithner, currently the Treasury Secretary, is gone after November.

Now we know the pay-off for supportng the Mosque.
PERSONAL COMMENT :
Not sure if Bloomberg would want this job... the task would be like trying to raise the Titanic after it has sunk.
That sucks out loud.
Any thoughts, you appear to have a clue when it comes to him.
And a Republican to heap blame on when the economy still doesn’t improve.
Stock up on salt, cigarettes and ammo.
I guess Obama liked patting that little schmuck on the head at that female island!
If he’s a Republican, I’m an albino midget unicorn.
NYC can’t wait to get rid of this moron.
And a Republican to heap blame on when the economy still doesnt improve.
Brilliant! I didn’t even think of that.
I guess Treasury agents will be going after the second amendment soon.
The lib media will mark this as Obama reaching across the aisle. Even though Bloomberg is about as liberal as you can get — even fiscally.
He’s not really a Republican that was just the affiliation he used because the other party primary was so crowded.
Then why did they just re-elect him to a third term?
Will Treasury now be going after Big Salt and Big Trans-Fat?
Confirmation’d be a hoot....
Bloomberg and Obama
Nanny and the Professor
yah...Job #1 will be implementation of an emergency National Value Added Tax.
RE: And a Republican to heap blame on when the economy still doesnt improve.
Bloomberg officially and publicly announced that he has LEFT the GOP over a year ago. He is not an independent.
He has no party loyalties really... he used to be a Democrat.
My view is that he has no natural talent for the job because he is a salesman, not a financier. While sales skills are good for any public official to have, his sales acumen relates to selling complex software to savvy executives and not selling policy to regular people.
To an executive he comes across as smart, aggressive and focused. To a regular person he comes across as a condescending, combative know-it-all.
New York’s gain is America’s nightmare.
He just gave an interview that stated that President Obama does NOT care about business.
That he told us what he was about when he ran and we were wrong to think that he would be more to the center when he won.
I don’t see how that interview endears him to Obamao.
Another national disgrace.
Having just spent a bazillion dollars on his latest mayoral run, I don’t see Bloomberg giving up running New York in exchange for shilling for Obama. This is probably a trial balloon from the administration.
My son-in-law deals with him on a pretty regular basis and thinks the sun rises and sets on the guy.
RE: Then why did they just re-elect him to a third term?
Bloomberg might be many things people of NYC do not want, but let’s fact it — on the MOST IMPORTANT job a Mayor must do -— PEACE AND ORDER - HE IS VERY SUCCESSFUL.
New York City is one of the safest big cities in the WORLD. He continued Rudy Giuliani’s tough on crime policies and made it even better. Crime has continued to drop in the Big Apple and we just recently had the lowest crime rate since the 1960’s.
I don’t care for the rest of his policies but PEACE AND ORDER are high on my list.
I believe that is foremost in the minds of most NYC voters too.
Somali pirates in the Whitehouse!
A thorough house cleaning is needed!
He's an excellent administrator in terms of demanding accountability and measurable results from his employees, but if you look at his initiatives as mayor he's not much of an idea man.
That was my thought too.
He won in 2005 by a 19 point margin.
He won in 2009 by a 4 point margin.
His base of support has dramatically eroded.
I have to hand it to Obama. He’s done the one thing I never thought he could. He picked a guy who would actually cause me to miss Turbo Tim.
I believe he's been an Independent since 2007.
NOT UNTIL Tim the TAX CHEAT signs some currency!!!!
I’ve got a big RED “TAX CHEAT” stamp that I’ve been dying to use!!!!
He’ll be working at his remote office, down at the mosque.
Good news!!! Get the bum outta here. As Treas. Sec. one @$$h0l# will replace another. With a jerk like Bloomberg controlling the nation’s pocketbook, Bam’s administration will sink further into the sewer he’s created.
I am speaking of the smart NYC residents.
So what’s the problem? The man told the truth. Doesn’t Obama claim to always be for the truth?
Kenyan Pirates in the White House.
Bloomberg violated the term limits by running a 3rd time.
Must think he is FDR.
I doubt it. He was just reelected for a third term and bet he will be reelected if he can get a fourth term. I don’t know where you get your info.
New York’s city hall is considered a political graveyard. No one goes onto any other elected office once serving as mayor. He’s got no where else to go.
Kudlow likes Bloomberg because they are both four-square in favor of amnesty for illegals.
