On the night of the primary, Cong. Barney Frank (D-Newton) told Wicked Local that he was ready and willing to debate any candidate for the general election. And considering that Frank even debated Lyndon LaRouche candidate Rachel Brown in the primary it was easy to take him at his word.
I think debating is an obligation any candidate for office has, Frank said.
This release came this week from Franks GOP opponent Seat Bielat
DebateGate: Wheres Barney?
Newton, MA With just 32 days left until the mid-term election, Barney Frank has yet to confirm a single debate with his opponent Sean Bielat.
Barneys running away from his record, his votes, his previous statements, and now the debates, said Sean Bielat, the Marine and businessman challenging Rep. Frank. I have already agreed to several debates, but Barney keeps stalling. The people of the Fourth District deserve to hear from both of us at the same time.

Barney can’t make it. It’s his time of the month.
I agree, Sean can do it. All I was saying is that Barney (rightly) sees no advantage in holding a debate.
Barney Franks is the senator from blue state communist perversions and will end up in the hell he has prepared for his unregenerate, lying, thieving, godless soul.
And Frank knows that even if he manages to weasel his way through a response, Bielat will have a devastating counter-response, pointing out the inconsistencies.
Frank also knows he has a short fuse, and if he loses his cool on the debate, the election will be over. I'm sure at least a few people remember Frank at Harvard:
Kindred,well put.
Well thanks.
Living in the district I am VERY passionate about this race. And it’s not simply getting rid of Barney which would be incredible, of course.
It’s also because Sean is so very impressive. HE’S the one who should be there!
And at least half the elected Republicans.....
... is a member of the House of Representatives and not the Senate. All else applies, however.
Barney Frank serves (himself) in the US House of Representatives, not the Senate. Massachusetts 4th District, first elected in 1981.
That right there is more than reason enough to oust him. Of course, should someone need more, evidence abounds.
You have it wrong, Massachusetts is not voting Barney into Congress, they are voting Barney out of Massachusetts! So far they have gotten rid of him for 28 years!
No disrespect, but if you really think that, definitely go see your Doc and get something to help with the mental delusions.

He should be in jail.
Having a conversation with Frank would be like trying to argue with a dining room table.
He's just a big Gov't tax and spender.
“Heh, big mouth Barney always bragged that hed debate anyone anywhere.”
I’m sure he HUmmmmms well. in a bathroom stall! His mouth is to full to debate. Anyhow the dribble will be disgusting to watch.
I’ll drop something in the mail to help Sean Bielat defeat Barney Frank. Thanx !
ME TOO! Come on freepers, let’s get this fat azz blowhard economy killer out of office!
Just like Larry Craig, Lindsey Graham, and Trent Lott pretend to be loving husbands.....
Reminds me of the attitude Hussein had in court...uppity... I’m above all you peons, and Im bummer’s boy. Im special. Theyre all rich elitist pretenders trying to stay on the gravy train.
Maybe Frankie has other talents that keep him in office.
Come on Barney, be a man and debate.
Oh wait, never mind that first part.
Just debate.
“My opponent hath an unfair advanthage in a debate because I haf a lisp”
