I remember him saying this during the campaign. The context was that he expected to be dealing with certain foreign leaders for the next 8 to 10 years, so blah blah blah. No one called him on it (big surprise there.

For those who forgot, the left attempted to convince everybody that Bill Clinton still has two years left that he can be President. They’re wrong but morons believed them.

It is a technicality, and it does not apply to Obama, but you could serve for 10 ears if you initially enter office via succession. 22nd amendment doesn't count unelected years against the term limit if you serve for less than two before being elected. So total possible time is 10 years (or I guess 9 years 364 days).
1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
