U.S. rethinks intelligence sharing after leaks anger Obama

President Obama is angry over recent public disclosures of classified information in Washington, and the intelligence community is re-evaluating the post-Sept. 11 push for greater intelligence-sharing, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Wednesday.

***

Sen. Christopher S. Bond, Missouri Republican and vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, said in an interview that the president's outrage is misplaced.

"I think it's ironic that the president is so concerned about leaks when he sanctioned what seems to be a mass secret spilling by his top aids for the [Bob] Woodward book," Mr. Bond said.

Looks like the administration wants to use the Wikileaks episode (and, no doubt, the Able Danger one) as excuses to rebuild Gorelick's Wall.

Exactly what I was thinking.

They need to share the info, but they need to be careful about how they do it.

Wow Obama and Biden tried to undermine the war in Iraq, and now they are angry, because someone ‘leaked’ info.

Watch out his communist fist is coming.

Obama’s outraged.... Huh?

It was someone inside of his administration who leaked the stuff, possibly with his approval.

LOL! The Muslim Brotherhood is now all through the govt, FBI, CIA, NSA and on and on. Intel is being leaked back to the Taliban and Al Qeada to kill our troops.

Keep watching TV folks - your viewership helps including Fox/Saudia.

I have a feeling Cameron fixed some of what Blair and Browne had done. The Brit SAS recently has been a lot more effective.

The Saudis and Islam bought the white hut in 2008. The American public is brainwashed by TV.

As pointed out, Sen. Bond says Obama allowed massive leaks for Woodward to write his book. I am reading the book and am amazed at the depth of discussion on many secret activities, tactics and other things which should remain secret. Woodward slurps it all up in an effort to show how “on top of things” Obama is and how “mismanaged” the wars were under Bush. Just totally sickening and irresponsible.

Yep. The traitor is feigning anger.

It also gives Woodward a chance to show how “inside” he is. It’s what he lives for.

Outrage? Isn’t this the same guy who authorized a gaggle of moslems to take a tour of the FBI’s Counter Terrorism Center? Now THAT’S an outrage!

Talk about learning the wrong lesson. Classified systems shouldn’t have CD burners. At least not ones available to every Tom, Dick, and Harry with a clearance. No USB drives either. Lazy Opsec is the problem.

I think liberals make a point of learning the wrong lessons from everything. That’s the only way they can maintain their deranged world view.

I’m stunned that Zero allowed his minions to disclose the material in Pulitzer Seeking Woodward’s latest book.

Woodward is in the pro-Zero, anti-Bush camp and I suppose that’s the reason for letting all the bars down on information disclosure.

This guy is a spook.

No longer able to hide a needle in a haystack, now we are forced to hide the needle in a needle stack.

Waking talking spook, through and through.
