American actor George Clooney is visiting the little known region of Southern Sudan. The U.N. Security Council arrived to a raucous welcome on Wednesday, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum also made a recent trip here.
The high-level visits are putting the spotlight on the Texas-sized area of Sudan that is far less known to Americans than the western region of Darfur, where mass atrocities have been committed over the last decade.
Southern Sudan is three months from a Jan. 9 independence vote that could see Africa's largest country break in two. The vote _ and the potential of a new north-south war because of it _ are the reason behind the rash of visits.

Whne I was a kid I came across my stpe brother watching a dirty movie. I looked and mentioned the acting was horrible. He told me “they aren’t paid to act.”
You have to look at it that way, only that actors are not paid to think. Then you understand their actions.

He was amazing as Jim Jones. It must have been very tough for PB to take on that role.
He played a PI on a TV series on cable around 20 years ago, and he was outstanding in the part.
I have a few episodes of the show on DVD. I think the show was originally on HBO.

I’m going to be very cynical when I say this, but the reason I think women like him is because he skillfully markets himself as a “Rhett Butler” rascal and women for some reason fall for that. But pay attention to the women he actually dates vs. the women that find him funny and charming. He dates hookers, cocktail waitresses, women who aren’t anything and since he’s an actor, these are the only types of women who are ‘beneath’ him in terms of status. They are the only ones who are able and willing to throw thier lives away to cavort with him and travel.
So many think he should date ‘better,’ but better women have better options than an actor with a bad reputation. What decent woman would want to be known initially as his latest ‘piece’ or be initially given the third degree over being some scummy mooch. He’s also ridiculously stupid and has the inability to be the ‘lesser’ in any relationship. What smart woman would want to demean herself by making him look smart and walking two steps behind? Have you SEEN the way these wives of actors stand and pose? As if their husbands are freaking heads of state!

he’s dated a Vegas “hostess” and lets be frank, it’s not like he’s someone who dates nice girls. You must be a smart woman since you see right through the hype. Perhaps it’s the thought that since he won’t marry, women think he’s been burned and needs the ‘right’ woman.
I’m not impressed with money,cars,big homes,etc.,whether or not the man is famous. I’m not one of those women who flips my lid over that type,including Clooney. A man can have all of the above but be lacking in brains,a sense of humor,honesty,etc.
Money can’t buy brains or style, or decency or a lost reputation. Besides, one thing I do notice, is that like a lot of actors he has relentless ambition and not the brains enough to fulfill his ambition. Bad warning sign.

BTW,thanks for the compliment.My brain may be stuck in neutral at times because of all the meds I’m taking,but I can tell when something isn’t right or someone’s not being honest,etc.I usually see past the hype of any individual,because I’m not impressed with wealth.For me,brains in a man are very important.I don’t care how attractive he is.If he’s a dope then I can’t have any kind of relationship with him.
Here’s something for you! Clooney once played a joke on a friend who has a cat.He’d poop in the cat’s litter box,and the friend was worried that his cat was ill. I believe that Clooney did it again,and his friend figured out it was Clooney who was pooping in the litter box. Who does such a thing? Think about how un-hygenic that is!

Speaking of dumb jokes,I watch a show called “World’s Dumbest” on TruTV,which used to CourtTV.They feature all types of stupid people and their acts.This one woman placed butter all over the floor,right where you would get out of the shower.Her boyfriend got out of the shower and slipped on the wet,buttery floor and fell into a wall with his forehead, then landed on his face. He could have had his teeth knocked out.Sheer stupidity.
