I guess, if you are of a generous mind, you could say he wanted to continue serving his country...
but I think he picked the wrong administration and they used him as window dressing...and he let them.
Too bad....

Think about it. Obama and his people knew that to have any credibility on foreign policy they couldn’t just staff the place with their Chicago hacks. That’s why they kept Gates, got Jones and put Clinton in at State. I know, I know, I can’t stand Clinton either. However, she is seen by the public as someone who knows about foreign policy.

James Jones was asked to serve his country. Something he’s done all his life. Whether he agrees or disagrees with the President, a man like this is going to serve and do what’s best for the country. Put politics aside. Just like Petraeus did when he was asked to take over in Afghanistan.

Now Obama just doesn’t care and he’s going to staff the place with his political hacks. A bad sign indeed. Does not bode well for the future in Iraq and Afghanistan...
