I fined it disgusting that a person with 18 years in the Senate is still the Jr. Senator! Fritz Hollings of SC was "junior" senator for 35 years.

I dont know about California, but I can tell you that I’ve seen the Washington Post’s endorsement make the difference in any number of races. Especially if they endorse the Republican (which happens every now and then).
