“After public outrage prompted 10:10 to withdraw the clip, project founder Franny Armstrong told the Guardian newspaper that they “killed” five people to make the clip - a “mere blip compared to the 300,000 real people who now die each year from climate change.””

How do they come up (and get away) with this shit! 300,000 people die each year from climate change!? And how can anyone remotely associated with science (or anyone with any self-respect) still retain any connection with these cultists!

Food was scarce; air polluted; water contaminated; conditions crowded. Our teachers said that by the year 2000, people would need gas masks to step outdoors.

Before I read the rest of this, just wnated to note that I recall this, not at school (which is surprising because I lived in a liberal area of Maine) but on TV and in magazines aimed at kids. I vividly remember laughing out loud at a story in a kid's magazine in which a boy was either dead or severely injured (the story left it open) after defying his teachers and parents and playing outside without his gas mask. I remember thinking that it was even dumber than the story in the previous issue about giant ducks from outer space, because the idea of everyone in a democratic society sitting around and doing nothing while they become unable to leave their homes was just ludicrous. Then there was stuff on TV like the Archies singing "Mr. Factory, don't you care, we don't have any air."

BTW, speaking of indoctrination, I think we all knew that there was something up with Captain Planet:

The whole thing is less than 4 minutes and it’s all funny, but the Captain Planet part starts one minute in. Don’t have coffee in your mouth when you watch it.
