Oct. 10: Most Widespread Day of Environmental Action in History
PRNewswire ^ | 10/8/2010 | SOURCE 350.org

WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 7,000 events are planned in 188 countries for this Sunday's Global Work Party, a day of action coordinated by 350.org to push politicians to take action on climate change.

There are more than 400 work parties planned across California, a broad show of support for clean energy solutions in advance of a contentious election.

"Politicians may still be debating climate change, but citizens are getting to work solving it," said Bill McKibben, renowned environmental author and founder of 350.org

"I'm tired of sitting around and watching politicians argue," said Actress Ellen Page, who sent a video endorsing the day. "It's time for them to stop talking and start doing."

"Just a week ago, there were 100 events in the state--now that number has exploded, to 400, making October 10 the most widespread day of rallies of this election season. Climate change continues to be an issue that motivates widespread action from Californians. In contrast, the tea party has joined the Yes on 23 campaign--but so far, only 8 events have taken place." May Boeve, US Campaign Director, 350.org

Wow, I almost missed out on this, why wasn't I told? /sarc

I wonder how all the people in California got to the events? I imagine everyone of them drove there in a car powered by evil oil.

These people may be funky hippie types, but they are are not to be taken lightly. They are using the environment as an excuse to enslave the world under collectivism.

Keep in mind that these folks believe that the ideal world population is half a billion. And they’re willing to do whatever it takes to get us there.

I don’t take them lightly, and you are right. Environmentalism is a cult disease and a path to socialism. These events are for green zombies who are desperate to drink the liberal kool aid because they can’t form an analysis on their own. They claim to want to “save the planet”, yet most of them have no grasp of earth science.

I wondered what expertise Ellen brought to the table. An actor/actress is someone whose primary talent is believable bodily and facial expression and the ability to mouth someone else’s words.

Don’t know that Page has many scientific degrees.

I’ve been burning styrofoam peanuts and plastic oil jugs all day . Threw on some old carpet and some creosote soaked railroad ties for a nice colorful blaze and a deep thick billowing smoke seen for miles.

I spent today working on really old cars with no catalytic converters, so they’ll be running well into the 21st century. None get over 12 mpg either. If I had more spare time, maybe I should have gone hunting for whales.....

I hope I contributed something to my fellow man today besides creating more hot air screaming socialist propaganda.

This explains the 100 pieces of drying laundry outside the student union at Northwestern University today. Wow, their carbon footprint dropped infinitesimally today. I hope they made up for it when they all bought organic Jamba juice smoothies made in electric blenders in the union afterwards.

Good day to burn leaves, leave the lights on inside and out all night. I may even crank up my car and pick-up and let them burn a tank of gas out in the yard. Helps keep the mosquitoes away.

I may even put the old roofing shingles on the burn pile, love that rich dark smoke.

WOW! I never heard of this event until I just came back online a few moments ago to FR, and read this article. I’m in California. Wonder if I’ll be fined by this fine crazed State government?

Wondering if not knowing about it is a good excuse?

Gosh!...I won’t sleep tonight.

I celebrated by replacing some halogen bulbs in my bathroom lights (I leave them on all the time). Then I fired up my new toy, a gas powered blower and blew shit all over the yard raising a fine dust storm. Then I checked on my orchids in my basement greenhouse lit by 2 400 watt HPS lights. Topped off the day with a nice T-Bone steak grilled over charcoal and a little wood..the smoke smelled so good...and that was my carbon footprint today

Sponsored by the People's Ministry of Green Jobs. For anybody showing up on my doorstep inviting me to any of this kind of crap, it will be difficult to avoid giving them the people's elbow.

I imagine everyone of them drove there in a car powered by evil oil.

Oil delivered to our shores from the ME is evil. Since each delivery supports terrorism.

Bush and company attempted to associate Americans who do "illicit" drugs as supporting terrorism. That was pathetic, and only a few bought it. Of course, this was done in order to distract us from reality of the evil of relying upon Islamic oil. All the while, Bush and company were dancing around the ballroom, kissing and holding hands with the house of Saud, the one true evil promoting and financially supporting terrorism around the globe. Nothing has changed with Obama's succession. Today, Obama dances and embraces them to the same tune. Meanwhile, we are in the process of losing all our freedoms to the alter of Islamic oil.

The green commies use oil as the excuse for their own global collectivist commie agenda. It's no secret that oil is the the life blood for America. It causes our wheels to go round and round. But what we must do, is tell SA to kiss our a double s. Tell them they can keep their oil, and shove it up their a double ses.

When Sarah and others chant, "drill baby drill," it's not merely a political and economic statement, since drilling within our own environment is the path to end our support for terrorism, and a return path toward freedom, and survival. To continue to purchase our oil from Islamic nations, is nothing less than suicide. We must tell the Islamic nations, which supply oil and terror to our shores, as well as other shores, to eff off.

The argument against telling them to eff off is that we don't have enough oil within our own environment to sustain our long term need. Well, if we continue to rely on Islamic oil, then, we are placing our own children upon the sacrificial alter, offering them to Islam's allah as lambs ready for slaughter.

So, do we offer our children for slaughter, or do we "drill baby, drill?" Do we tell the environmental commies to kiss off? Or, do we sacrifice ourselves, and our children, to Islam?

Until the time comes when we have an alternative source of energy to sustain our economy, we must free ourselves, and our children, from the slavery, and the death, which comes from relying upon Islamic oil.

We are tip toeing on the edge of darkness. We must elect leaders willing to free us from the death, the mayhem, and the destruction, which is delivered to our shores, and shores around the world, from reliance upon oil delivered from Islamic nations.

The bottom line is this, we either destroy and conquer Islam, which we don't currently have the stomach for, or we refuse their oil. Lacking the will to destroy Islam for now, which overtly seeks our destruction, the least we can, and should do, is refuse their oil. If not for ourselves, do it for our children and grand children.

Sure, that counts!

I have a battery back-up that was attached to my computer and was doing more harm than good as it overheated and would randomly shut down my computer and was getting so HOT that I was afraid it would burn down my house!

What to do with it? What to do with it? LOL!

The latest by my local Enviro-Weenies? Heard about this earlier in the week...They want us to separate every scrap of food and every bit of pet waste* and every bit of paper into yet ANOTHER container (that would make THREE at the curb!) so they can put it all into some bio-digester and make methane gas for us all to run our CLOWN CARS with or something along those lines. Yeesh!

http://www.cityofmadison.com/streets/OrganicsSurvey.cfm

*Really? Pet waste? You need to touch that yet AGAIN to make sure it’s in the proper container? Eeeeeew! And I find it hard to believe there is ANY pet waste with all of the ‘flushable’ pet waste products we have in this town already! And we live in a TOWN; Madistan is NOT New York City as the LefTards would like you to believe!

Separate pet waste? With 8 parrots here it would be a little time consuming to separate all the little bird turds from their cage paper. I suppose thy would have people collect all the fish poop from their aquariums.
You would be proud of me...today I threw a pile of leaves in with the regular garbage because I was too lazy to carry them to the front curb. I guess I could have fired up my monster mulcher and burned a little gas
