George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.

I agree.

Too many races...Too many elections...The only thing remotely shocking about Soros telling us that he feels he may have to cut his losses is the fact that he’s telling it.

To me that means things must be getting under his skin...

Perhaps he’ll go meddle in Russian elections...I know I would much rather see what happens there if he did.

This little lesson in Rationing will be good for Dems, though.

He has already accomplished what he wants. He doesn't give a damn about the Democrats. He just wanted to collapse the US currency. No matter who wins in November we are going to have a currency collapse. Obama has simply run up more debt than we can possibly pay off.

He's probably hoping to force the US to ask the IMF for a bailout. Countries that do that are destroyed.

I disagree. Dims are so stupid that they will fall for a trick like that quicker than Republicans. And by doing so, stay away from the polls because they think it is over. A tactic like making Repubs overconfident will in effect work against Dims because they are so stupid.

Why should Soros waste more money to help democrats, when the useful idiots have already served their purpose.”

I agree,

If I were president I would hand him over to one of the many other nations who want him. Wonder how he would like an indonesian prison?

Malaysia. I would love to see this country institute some of the techniques with which Malathir Mohammad beat Soros when he tried to crash the ringgit. It cost ol' George over a billion by the time it was over.

I think that Soros will continue to make every effort to wreck civilization until he dies. Fortunately, he’s getting to be an old man.

He has done nothing but evil since, as a young man, he helped the Nazis exterminate his fellow Jews. A long lifetime of evil.

Yeah, it'd be funny to see the look on his face when he asks to see the top guy and is told that the top guy is busy for the next hundred thousand years and handed off to a little junior yapping-dog devil who moves him toward the intake center by biting his ankles while laughing at him.

I wonder if the Jews he helped send to the Death Camps are haunting him.

Maybe he’s announcing it as a way of letting the Dems know he’s unhappy with them. If he’s asked for anything they’ve failed to deliver, a public like this should scare them to death. He expects a return on his money, after all. If he’s gotten everything he wanted, then I don’t know why he’d make such a public statement. If he feels betrayed, however, this could be his way of putting the Dems on notice. Worst case scenario, he’s telling them what to do during the lame duck session Or Else.

The vote fraud tactics of ACORN, Soros and "the dead voting in Chicago" work best if they only have to steal a FEW votes.

It will be a lot harder for them to cheat this time. :o)

Exactly, he is a lying sack of crap whom the democrats allow to shelter his assets from the confiscation that is hitting all of us who are not “the rich”.

I think he's lying as well. And I doubt he isn't contributing to dems. There are all sorts of ways to hide contributions, I would think. Turnout will be key. At this point it is looking good, but let's not get complacent.

Soros belongs in an orange jumpsuit.

You're too kind. If it were up to me, I'd give him a public platform and sing three hymns.

I think GOP overconfidence is the only hope they have.

But that is not mentality of the voters.

It’s broken glass time.

It’s the latest round of talking points:

http://joytiz.com/blog/

George Soros weighs in on the upcoming mid terms claiming that he is helpless against the Republican “avalanche”:

“George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.”

Evidently, Soros got the memo. The Democrats can’t escape a drubbing in November. Thus, the new strategy of raising expectations. If Democrats can over hype the likelihood of a Republican take over of both houses, anything less will look like failure.

I disagree. Dims are so stupid that they will fall for a trick like that quicker than Republicans.

There is another point. It is due to the psychological nature of self absorbed people. Democrats, especially young progressives, put a lot of stock into winning at any price. However when victory, and not the way you fight, becomes the only measure of success, you can never allow yourself to be associated with a loser.

There is no gallant last stand for a liberal. That is why they need the myths about stolen votes and Dibold machines. They cannot stand to be associated with someone who lost. As soon as it becomes obvious that the dems have lost, the young, shallow, progressives will try to distance themselves. And the best way to do this is to diminish the value of voting by saying that they had something better to do that day, or didn't like any of the candidates.

For a conservative it is better to take a stand and lose than to stand by and do nothing. It is our greatest strength, but also our weakness as it leads to hopeless fights and an almost fanatical desire to lose on principle rather than win by compromise. But for a progressive there is nothing worse than being tied to a loss. They would rather see their side lose without a fight, then be seen to personally have fought and lost.

That sounds more likely. Display his displeasure because the agenda is not being met and he can purchase other puppets later...And in all honestly, he can’t stop the avalanche. The two are not mutually exlcusive.
