Republican House candidate Kristi Noem raised twice as much money in the past three months as Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, giving Noem hundreds of thousands more dollars for the campaigns last weeks.
Noem, who challenged her supporters in August to help her raise $1 million during the remainder of the campaign, met that goal with a $1.1 million third-quarter total.
Herseth Sandlins campaign reported collecting about $550,000 in that same time.
This was the second quarter in a row Noem has outraised Herseth Sandlin.
Noems campaign manager Joshua Shields said the third-quarter fundraising is evidence Noem is doing well.
Kristi has the right message of cutting wasteful spending and reducing government waste, he said. To have the resources to put that message out there is critical.

a vote for Herseth Sandlin is a vote for Nancy Pelosi.

My inlaws live in SD and they like this woman and will vote for her. It kind of put me off a little the way she dissed Sarah Palin though...

Watched the horseback interview. (Thanks for the link.) I didn't feel like she was dissing Palin. She was smart not to let herself be labeled that way to her face. (It's demeaning to be asked about it.) She is her own person. Her response was reasonable and wise, I think.

Funny but I would have said “That would be nice. She is welcome anytime”.

That would have been a good answer, no doubt. But I don't think she was trying to diss Palin. She was clearly irritated at the reporter-boy who was trying to hang a label on her so HE could diss them both.

Not a bad label these days... I like her and more important than that my inlaws like her, but this put a bad taste on it. Just sayin.
