Boxer, Waxman Under Fire for Approving Radical Mission Behind Enemy Lines
The Daily Caller ^ | Wednesday, October 13, 2010 | Chris Garcia

Posted on 10/13/2010 3:15:50 PM PDT by kristinn

Two top California legislators are coming under fire after new evidence has emerged that they helped a group of radical antiwar activists cross the Iraqi-Jordanian border in order to deliver aid to families of enemy insurgents in the war-ridden Iraqi city of Fallujah. In December 2004, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D) and Rep. Henry Waxman (D) each sent letters of diplomatic courtesy to the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan, requesting assistance for members of the radical group Global Exchange and the antiwar group Palisadians for Peace.

The letters, according to a January 4, 2005 article written by Islam Online correspondent Adam Wild Aba, were needed in order to successfully deliver supplies to the Iraqi people. The Pentagon had previously denied the groups access to the embattled region, citing security concerns. Waxman’s letter to Consul General Daniel Goodspeed, dated December 14, 2004, requested assistance on behalf of Palisadians for Peace and Global Exchange as they sought to set up a “peace camp” to benefit Iraqi families. Now, with no clear record of who specifically was given the more than $600,000 in cash and goods that the groups brought into the warzone, concerned families of soldiers killed while fighting in the War on Terror are beginning to ask questions.

Outrage was reignited after Lt. Col. Robert “Buzz” Patterson (USAF-Ret.) described in detail in his latest book, Conduct Unbecoming, the connection between the radical antiwar group Code Pink and the groups for which Boxer and Waxman issued letters of support. The blockbuster from the New York Times bestselling author, released just prior to the ninth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, provides groundbreaking evidence of the anti-American military actions taken by Code Pink in their protests against the Iraq War.

Excellent. More is better.

There are still tweets rippling out from the Gateway Pundit article. Maybe Malkin will pick it up tomorrow, after the miner story is finished.

MSM response ???

“Crickets”

The only way the DNC Media will get dragged into this story is if it gets into the bloodstream of the online media and talk radio - Malkin, Coulter and Rush would be a great start. That's how the Swift Vet story happened - the old media ignored the fire until Kerry socks were burning.

This should be one of the first congressional investigations/hearings held by the newly won Republican House of Representatives.

There was a book years ago entitled “None Dare Call It Treason”.

Well, I, for one, call this TREASON! and treason should be punished.

PS: My son was one of the first American soldiers to go into Iraq on 3/20/03 to mark paths for the Abrams tanks who were crossing the border from Kuwait.

My dog was in the fight very early on. His company won a Presidential Unit Citation.

Payback time for traitors!

Good evening.

I forget now, who helped Benjamin and Code Pink with their aiding and abetting the insurgency and al-Queda in Iraq?

I have always said that Waxman is the member of Congress I would most like to see removed. Who on earth would vote for him?

For the record, I called for Patrick Leahy to be hanged for treason in the 1980s; Wilson and Plame next; John Kerry for meeting the Viet Cong in Paris and his fraudulent Congressional testimony; and Waxman and Boxer is next.

California voters are brain dead, and/or, lobotomized...

Eventually the state's IQ will go up when one of the Asian powers gets around to nuking the big West Coast conurbations that harbor all the perverse, Left-wing votes.

Just don't live in one, or downwind of one.

Olympic Peninsula, Mendocino County, places like that sound OK.

A good sign will be the size of the voting lines on election day. When we threw davis out, the lines at my polling place were quite long. If brown wins his feet are going to be held to the fire or he’ll get the same treatment as davis I think.

“I keep concluding the same thing that you do. It’s as though Californians, a majority at least, are totally fed up with freedom and prosperity and long for an impoverished, third-world dictatorship.”

CA is the result of “mission creep”. They’ve been dumbed down educationally for many decades, and have been overrun by illegals. This didn’t happen overnight.

Had McCain been elected, the USA would end up looking like CA. When bad things progress slowly, the populace doesn’t notice. However, with Obama’s election, that change he was always talking about happened almost over night, and it was crammed down our throats!

People tend to notice those things...

Treason is no more regarded as a crime in this country than homosexuality and adultery. All used to be.

What Boxer and Waxman did is despicable, but Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown also has some ties with Code Pink. Let us not forget that he had a fundraiser at Jodie Evans' home. He should be included in any ads/discussions re same.

Democrat California gubernatorial nominee Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown mocked as “silly” the concerns raised by a retired Marine Corps colonel about Brown attending a fundraiser at the home of terrorist supporter and Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans. Speaking to reporters Wednesday evening at a campaign rally at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building, Brown labeled the call by Col. Bucky Peterson to return the money from the fundraiser “dishonest” and “the sillies[t] thing I’ve ever heard.” Peterson’s statement was released by Brown’s opponent, Republican nominee Meg Whitman.

Under fire? They've both just had their chances of re-election virtually guaranteed.

People may not know this but the literal translation of the word California is "Land of Idiots."

Trust me. I know. I'm surrounded by them. Some of them are even in my family and attend my church.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boxer and Waxman are behind this "leak."
