Knee jerk islam support is a serious sign of the insanity of the left. Look at DU (blah). If anyone says anything negative about islam, there’s dozens of ‘freedom of religion’ and so on posts. Very few will speak out against even the most heinous things islam promotes at its very core.
They are all hardcore athiests, but they find a common thread in islam, hatred of the western capitalist world.
It’s totally appropriate to lump them all together as enemies.

slight corrections:
1) it was at MIT not Harvard - Summers was then Pres. of Harvard, but he was speaking at MIT and it was an MIT bio professor who was so ‘offended’ that she got the vapors - she said she thought she would “pass out” she was so upset, behaving for all the world as the epitome of a rational, hard-headed scientist
2) Summers only mentioned possible “biological” differences as one of several possible explanations, not asserting it as “the” explanation - he was trying to address the FACT of dramatic discrepancies in numbers of male and female scientists and mathematicians at the highest ranks of each discipline
Alas, the weak-minded bio prof could not bear to hear the subject of any possible “natural” differences between the sexes even mentioned - so much for intelligence and analytical rigor at MIT these days.
