When he first spotted the strange graffiti, Mushtaq Hussain thought it was a juvenile prank: Somebody had used bacon strips on a sidewalk in front of a Florence, S.C., mosque to spell out the words "PIG" and "CHUMP"

Good thing they didn't spell out "HICKORY SMOKED". Now THAT would've been hateful (and expensive)!

Where’s that FR poster back around Sept. 11 that had the photos of the dog and the Koran bookmarked with strips of bacon?

Classic.

What if it was a rasher of bacon, in a hangman’s noose, being held by a lawn jockey?

The muzzies need to start building their mosques tough enough to “absorb” bacon attacks! See Barry! He knows all about absorption.

"We thought seriously, and we thought, ‘You know, somebody doesn't like us,' " he told WMBF-TV news in Florence.

LOL

They didn't even leave the rest of the fixins for BLT's

Hey dumbass, its gone way beyond dislike. It has officially moved in to disdain, disgust, loathing, and dare I say hatred. Muslims are not worth a turd, you should be grateful that someone thought enough of you to pay $3.50 for a pound of bacon.

I have an idea. You could go out in the woods and practice blowing yourself up.

Who cares, as long as the radical muslims were offended? I’ve got a deer tenderloin wrapped in thick-sliced peppered bacon on the grill ... I hope that offends all of the vegetarian radical muslims out there.

The fact that this is even being reported as a possible “hate” crime speaks volumes about the PC madness infecting America.

The prankster is a fine American citizen. If enough of us can make Muslims feel unwelcome, then we won’t have to worry about them subverting the democratic process to implement Sharia Law.

What have YOU done to let Islamofascists know that they aren’t welcome here?

Saw a suggestion previously about backing a wood chipper up to the GZM site, and throwing a couple of pigs thru it.

That’d be some serious bacon bits...

Can you imagine the police officer's thoughts who took the report? What about the FBI, called in to investigate? I would think Homeland Security showed up as well.

All for an investigation....The officers, FBI, all involved in the investigation have to be saying to themselves, 'What if this is an inside job'?

It was a prank. Just some college kids hamming it up.....

Next time, we freeze dry some pigs then mill them into a fine powder. Once that's released in the atmosphere, they'll wear it, breath it,and injest it wheather they want to or not. At this point, there are currently no laws against the possion of weaponized pork.

In September, the US Postal Inspection Service reported that at least four packages containing hate letters and bacon were sent to American mosques from Denver. CAIR is a regular recipient of pork-related hate mail.

I wish someone would send me bacon hate mail. Now a fruit cake on the other hand; that indeed might be considered a hate crime.

There’s a mosque in FLORENCE?! Is this the same Florence we used to be forced to drive through to get to Myrtle and back? I HATES me some Florence... a van full of screaming children after an hour in Florence traffic, BOTH WAYS mind you, IS a hate crime.

I don’t know what the answer to islam is (well, other than Jesus Christ), but I’m pretty sure bacon isn’t it. The next thing you know we’ll be staging pig pickings on their front lawns and that sort of thing needs to be in my backyard. The people (with some exceptions) aren’t evil, but their religion is. Offending them where they go to worship their god (or “God”, but probably not) isn’t going to convince them that we’re not as evil as they may already think we are.

Of course I say this as a Catholic and with the first 9/11 in mind (9/11/1683) so I could go either way on this.

It was neither a hate crime or a prank. They were testing if the sidewalk was hot enough to fry bacon on. (they were out of eggs)

You'd think so, it's just one straight shot through town but every time it would be bumper to bumper insanity. The first few times I couldn't imagine how there were even enough cars in a town that size to cause all that backup.

Last year I had my wife and our five kids in the van and my 73 year old parents in a car behind us and after getting trapped on the wrong side of a multi car pile up I swore I'd rename the kids Grant, Sherman, McClellan, Lincoln and Babs (don't ask) and burn the whole place to the ground while singing Yankee Doodle. Then the gps told me to take 95 around Florence and I've been much happier since.

Yes indeed, the 38/501 is a much better way to get to Myrtle Beach if one is forced to go there. Just nix naming the kids Grant, Sherman, McClellan, Lincoln, they haven't been that bad.

It’s a little worse than it used to be but Florence is the easiest town to drive in that I have ever seen, even for a small one. Back in the sixties I was living in Cheraw which back then would make today’s Florence look like Chicago by comparison and I used to see some awful jams. US 1, hwy 52, hwy 9 and some other little roads were all routed through the middle of town. Once on a Friday before a holiday weekend I left my job at Bennettsville and when I got to where my street turned off of 52 I couldn’t turn left, I had to drive a mile further and turn off to my left and come back down so that I could make a right turn to go home. All this in a town of 5000 or so! The traffic was bumper to bumper all the way through.
