Foundation urges sponsors to shun Fox News

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- A California non-profit is urging sponsors to pull their ads from Fox News Channel, because of "a would-be assassin inspired by" Fox personality Glenn Beck.

The Tides Foundation, which says it promotes human rights, justice, and a healthy, sustainable environment, has come in for frequent criticism on Beck's show. A suspect in a July 28 shootout with police, Byron Williams, told police in an affidavit he had intended to go to the Tides Foundation's office in San Francisco and kill founder and Chief Executive Officer Drummond Pike.

"I would have never started watching Fox News if it wasn't for the fact that Beck was on there," Williams told the liberal blog Media Matters in a jailhouse interview. "And it was the things that he did, it was the things he exposed that blew my mind."

Glenn Beck mind control techniques really work !!!

The Tides Foundation, which says it promotes human rights, justice, and a healthy, sustainable environment,

When Drummond Pike started this little commie money-laundering operation he used to brag about how his books were "squeaky clean." This guy is a thug of the first order, who single-handedly channeled the money to shut down massive hunks of the Pacific Coast timber, aluminum, and fishing industries, first with spotted owls and then with a bogus salmon listings. His machinations wrecked families, forcing a generation of kids to grow up in that region with no hope and no future, drug addled and suicidal.

I want this creep in jail.

Any advertiser that drops Beck or FOX will only make room for the scores of 'em lined up with cash in hand, waiting for a shot at the best advertising market on cable.

Wow, it’s only a joke! OK then Boycott Windsurfing!

You said:
“Terresa Heinz Kerry has NOTHING to do with Heinz Company or ketchup...”

According to Snopes, the Heinz family (which donates at least $140 million annually through 3 family foundations) still owned a 4% interest in the company. Probly (sic) some nice dividends with that - you think?
http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/heinz.asp
http://www.heinz.com/results.html?d=stock

So, assuming they still own around 4% of the HNZ - with a market cap around $16 Billion, that’s $640 Million - that’s a lot of catsup SatinDoll. ;)

Here’s more info on the way that Theresa Heinz Kerry (and I suppose we could throw John in there too) help distribute the Foundations’ loot:

So the company Heinz and the Heinz family should be punished because the founding family still owns 4% of the company, and their Republican Senator family member had an widow (Teresa) who married a Democrat and funds him lavishly with the money she got from her dead husband?

Really?

Guess that will teach them to elect Republican Senators from their family with politically opportunistic wives!

About 1/20th of the Heinz Co. funds leftist causes year after year after year, and you’re OK with that?

Teresa Heinz Kerry inherited the Heinz family trust (with $1.5 Billion in assets, $140 million/year in spending and giving - http://www.undueinfluence.com/heinz.htm - and which owns 4% of the Heinz company (HNZ - around $600 Million of market cap) with all it’s dividend income as well.) She also inherited a Heinz *family* fortune worth $500 million.

Ah no, but we should be OK with all this as, one day, long ago, Teresa married a Republican Senator, and the Heinz(es) were a Republican family.

How is it that their entire wealth and labors are now controlled by leftists? And yes, hundreds of millions ($75 million/year) go toward leftist causes. How did that happen, if these people were such good Republicans?

And you’re seriously lecturing me about pointing this out?

Really??!

I am seriously “lecturing” you that the connection between the ketchup and Teresa is tenuous at best, and mostly involving the inheritance by her of the assets of a REPUBLICAN Senator.

So the company, the family, the stockholders should all be punished!!!!!!!!! Because she had the bad taste to marry Kerry after inheriting a Heinz family members assets, and no amount of ketchup will make that fetid dog go down!!!!!

Get a grip.

Should Democrats have boycotted Heinz when there was a Republican Senator by that name, who at that time controlled his own assets?

RE: “I just never understood rich Marxists. Why don’t they just give their money away and leave the rest of us alone?”

*********************

They just can’t stop themselves from butting in for the good of everyone (they think).

Here’s a little story from my neighborhood: Far leftist, ‘progressive’ (she says) neighbor got into conversation with me and another neighbor (garden variety Democrat) about our gardening service.

It’s a crew of two guys and owner of business (does not usually pitch in with the work) is a nice ordinary guy who just wants to make ends meet. His employees have been with him for ages and what we long term customers get for our very reasonable monthly fee is typical “mow, edge, cleanup.”

Anything else we want done is on us; not included in price, and we must arrange to have the guys come on the weekend.

The annoying, intrusive ‘progressive’ neighbor opined to me and the other customer that she told this small business owner to charge everyone MORE every month because he charged too little!

Huh??? How is this HER business? She always tries to tell everyone what to do, but this? I was speechless but the other neighbor, garden variety Dem and known to be quite thrifty, said: “If you think you are not paying enough, feel free to add more onto your monthly check, but don’t speak for the rest of the customers.” I managed to shake my head in agreement — loved it —

FWIW, the business owner has NOT to date charged us a higher fee, thank goodness. But this was just one tiny example of the way these leftists operate — they want to do our thinking for us, and insinuate themselves into every aspect of our lives.

The obnoxious one can’t stand me anyway because I have the flag and a Don’t Tread on Me sticker on my car, which she has to look at every time she pulls out of her driveway.

“I am seriously “lecturing” you that the connection between the ketchup and Teresa is tenuous at best”

Listen allmen - $600 million of dividend paying stock is no ‘tenuous at best’ scenario. Sorry if that isn’t obvious to you. What in the world does the fact that Heinz was a Republican Senator have to do with how Teresa is now giving hundreds of million of $$ to leftist causes? Your loyalty is touching.

“So the company, the family, the stockholders should all be punished!!!!!!!!!”

So the truth should be pointed out. You OK with that?

“Get a grip.”

Oh I see, you just wrote a statement screaming at me with 9 exclamation points, and you’re telling me to ‘get a grip.’ Nice.

“Should Democrats have boycotted Heinz when there was a Republican Senator by that name, who at that time controlled his own assets?”

If they wanted to, they should have. If Heinz is proud of Teresa and her lefty causes they should ‘man up’ and know that some us won’t be using their products. If, quite possibly, they don’t care, and especially if they do, they should think about buying out the foundations.

And I don’t have to use Heinz ketchup and you certainly can if you wish, because sir, it’s a FREE COUNTRY (at least for a little while longer.) I would suggest also that you educate yourself about how your dollars can support things like leftist causes, abortion, etc.

From the Heinz Co. standpoint, this may just be an unfortunate circumstance. There are, I’m sure, more egregious cases of corporate malfeasance that contribute directly to Planned Parenthood, abortions, anti-marriage/family politicians and causes. This is the kind of work that American Family Association has been bringing to light for decades.

Get a grip - on that ketchup bottle allmen and pour yourself some Hunt’s ketchup with those fries now...;)
