Years ago, I knew a guy who had escaped Hungary at about age 16.
He said that when they were invaded, the soldiers went to the police stations & got the lists of all the registered guns.
The soldiers then went to those houses first & confiscated the guns.
Some people got away before the soldiers came & that was the nucleus of the resistance.

Whoa that comment really struck a cord in me.
An old friend of mine was the exact same way, except he was Vietnamese.
Isn't it interesting how people have that reaction to the oppression of Socialism?
