So-Called Republicans Rice's & Powell's support of the First Black President tells me much about the character of them both.

I have no doubt where I'd place my bet!

This wasn't about betting. I was aware that Condi made the comments that you posted. My post asked whether or not this statement by Minus_The_Bear was true or false:

Condi has said before that she voted for Obama.

Since he has not responded, and neither you nor I found any confirmation, it is almost certainly false. Apparently Minus_The_Bear just made it up to trash Rice.

A nasty little lie in a nasty little thread.

What is certainly false is "Condi's" pretense that she possibly did not vote for Obama. The proof of this is found in both her words (see my post #96) and her obvious joy (view video) in those few unguarded moments during her statement on the day after the election (11/05/2010).

The "nasty" "lie" is the one "Condi" is trying to pull off on the American public with her feigned neutrality. I think of the FR posts calling for "Condi" on a GOP national ticket. Ha! How many Jeffords, Specters, Crists, Murkowskis, Grahams, McCains and Powells does it take?

The article of this thread "Condi Rice defends Obama foreign policy" clearly presents not only her defense of Obama's anti-American foreign policy but also her praise of her SOS successor Hillary Clinton.

Those who are not in Obama's camp and remain "Condi" fans, can continue to fool themselves, but they should not expect to try fooling others without being challenged.

I will bet she visited him and Obama and his media twisted it.

Think how pathetic Obama looks overall. Why does he need a former SOS to defend him in the first place?

I doubt that she is trying to fool anyone. It is common knowledge that she is not particularly conservative. If she was dishonest and had wanted a political future for herself in the Republican Party, she would long ago have pulled a Romney and "discovered" that she was really pro-life. It would have been trivially easy to do, but she did not do it.

I think of the FR posts calling for "Condi" on a GOP national ticket.

Yes, and I posted to at least one of those threads, pointing out that it was a bad idea. I was reminded of those threads when I read FReepers recommending Scott Brown as a presidential candidate.

I don't mind seeing Condi criticized for what she actually said and did. She earned plenty of legitimate criticism.

I mind reading lies about Condi (or anyone else) presented as fact, and I mind reading a blatantly racist thread in this usually non-racist forum. I'm glad that the post referring to Rice as "da sista" was removed by a moderator. If this were my forum, that poster would be banned.

Your speculation that Condi voted for Obama may well be correct, but I don't know how she voted, and you don't know how she voted, and Minus_The_Bear's post was a lie.
