A company in Tennessee is recalling some packages of frozen vegetables because they may contain glass fragments.
Pictsweet said Friday that 24,000 pounds of packages were distributed to Kroger stores in the southeastern U.S. and Walmart stores throughout the U.S.

Good thing I hate peas.
Now if it was broccoli, I’d be in trouble.
What’s the big deal? Doesn’t everybody like shards in their food? /s
Mmm Mmm! I LOVE broccoli! I like it on Pizza! I like it mixed with macaroni! I like it fried! Mmm Mmm good! Now I have a craving....
At this rate only Dorito’s will be safe to eat.
Just checked. We’re good.
I love sweet peas.
And if California "legalizes" weed, those are going to be hard to find.
If the veggies are from China, shouldn’t it be “grass”?
“It has a nice bite to it...oh, AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!”
Big media had to get in an anti-WalMart cheap shot with the headline.
.Meat processing was temporarily suspended at Tyson's deli meats plant in Buffalo, NY, an action that by week's end put 480 people out of work.
. Most of the recalled products--various kinds of meats in "Marketside Grab and Go" sandwiches--were sold nationally in Wal-Mart stores. A sample collected at a retail store in Georgia tested positive for Listeria and led to the recall.
A free jagged metal Krusty-O in each box!
My just turned 12 year old g/daughter has been called Sweet Pea by me for most of her life.....Sometimes I use her real name.
I can see it now. Black market Doritos.
Give her a hug for me.
(She lives with us.)
That would be good!

Testing FR’s clock, that’s all. Ignore me...
More Walmart Tainted Food news at # 13.
[Thanks, MamaDearest. No sympathy for the 480 out of work employees; they all know they are supposed to wash their hands after using the toilet.]
Me again. Ignore me again.
"Eat all you want, they'll make more!"
I just looked and found some of these empty bags with those numbers in the garbage. Is that a bad sign? Sorry. Gotta get off. Tummy suddenly aching . . . .
When the story first broke, it was just Kroger listed.
Look how the title only lists Walmart, now....
I only go to Wal-Mart two or three times a year. The only products I buy are paper goods, office supplies and some brand name canned foods. It is such a hassle to go there. The parking is terrible and the crowds are worse. I much prefer Target......clean, well-lit, with good service.
We live in Tennessee...and shop at WalMart..
My kids wont buy canned ...they always buy frozen...
I hope they and their children didnt get any of those bags with glass...
I guess it’s just an odd coincidence that the last decade has seen an astronomical rise in incidences of tainted food and the ubiquitous employment of illegals in the food preparation/handling industries. No one will touch it because... that’s racist.
They only mention WalMart in the title but it includes Krogers and Great Value, also.
Great Value is the Walmart house brand, so it looks like just Walmart and Kroger - at least for now.
Oh thank you. I guess you can see I don’t shop at Walmart or Kroger. ;)
Well? How'd it do?
Look for the Union label.
LOL!!! It’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off....
Over the years, I've found glass in food a couple of times, and also a thorn covered twig from a blackberry bush. Whenever I have an experience like this, I write to the manufacturer, and send them the offending item (assuming it hasn't been swallowed . . . ). In every instance I've received coupons or refunds and apologies. Stuff happens in a manufacturing setting.
Hmmm, I just checked the time on one of my posts and it seems to be off for me too. It’s fast by about ten minutes.
Yep. I’ve been trying to get the Canteen posted right at 5:00....I should’ve started........earlier. ;)
Well you need to get after those Robinson boys about that, Brad’s Gramma. They’ll listen to you.
Broccoli on pizza! Yum!
Hmmmmmmmm. I think you are on to something.
LOL, I was making green chiles chowder earlier, and I knew some frozen Great Value frozen veggies were recalled, but had no desire to make a trip to the store...so, I didn’t look to see which ones were recalled...The Ignorance is Bliss/Take my Chances theory..
I am glad to see the GV frozen corn is not on recall because I already ate the chowder. It was darned good, too.
Pictsweet makes good bagged, frozen vegetables. Use’em all the time. Not peas though. Not a big fan of peas, even if they do have glass in them.
And at the rate things are going we will have to get an Rx from the doc to buy Doritos.
LOL! Me too! That's exactly why I clicked on the post. Glad to see that I'm not alone. My husband, who hates all vegetables, thinks I'm crazy.
We never buy any Tyson products!!
