Al Gore is scheduled to be in town today to raise money for Governor Deval Patrick. Conveniently enough, Gore, while he’s here, is getting in some shots at Patrick rival Charles D. Baker over climate change.
Baker said he was not “smart enough’’ to understand the issue and declined to even issue an opinion.
“I’m not saying I believe in it. I’m not saying I don’t,’’ Baker said.
“Well, in the face of overwhelming scientific evidence, Charlie Baker’s statement is nothing short of unacceptable in my view,’’ Gore says in the video. “The climate crisis is just as real as the economic one that has touched every single family, business, and government in our country.’’
Gore’s serious, wonkish delivery isn’t quite as catchy, however, as the video served up by Massachusetts Republicans on Friday. Their pitch to voters flows to the tune of James Taylor’s “You’ve Got a Friend’’ and uses economic statistics and shots of Patrick with President Obama, who was here yesterday for a rally with Patrick and Taylor.
“This November no federal bailout will save Deval Patrick,’’ the text says.
This race just gets a little warmer every day.

Even the temperatures of this past very hot summer, at times breaking or tying a record set many moons ago, does not support your fairy tales, Al. Most of those records happened before large populations, the automobile and large scale industrialization occurred.
If Al Gore is so filled with knowledge of Global Warming why does he refuse to debate it.
The only thing Gore knows about climate change is that it is making him rich.

GW is a religion. You will never change their minds using facts. The numbers are too easy to fact and miss use. You need to expose the money trail. That people will understand. If the leaders of the GM religion are the ones making the most money from perpetuating the scam, that ought to open some eyes. Put then again, the grip of a cult is hard to break.
