How do you reconcile believing in “the right of every innocent human life in the mother’s womb to be born” with labeling those that support the taking of that life as “a candidate that a catholic person happens not to like”?
While I know some people believe the Jesus’ death on the cross pays for all sins, I would think that would “excuse” some pretty abhorrent behavior.
No. Christ's death on the cross does not "excuse" any behavior at all. It pays the penalty for it. Anyone who responds in faith to God's offer for forgiveness is forgiven, even those who vote for pro-abortion candidates.

I can only guess that's your summarization of the article, that the writer is just arrogant and unchurched because he's "too smart for Church."
If so, I guess I'm surprised you'd react that way and I'll have to disagree because I think the guy is pretty much spot-on.
