That said, I can't help but like the show because I've had a mild crush on Kathleen Parker for years, back when she was a South Florida journalist, ever since she exchanged emails with me after a particularly hard-hitting column about fatherhood.
She looks like the pretty housewife next door:

Miss Parker is attractive until she opens her mouth.
I lost all respect for her during the 2008 election cycle, and her constant bashing of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin, conservatives in general, since then.
The fact she took the second seat alongside a guy that has a penchant for hookers that resemble his daughter speaks to HER character, and her willingness to drop any principals at the drop of a hat.

Unfortunately her head seems to be a moral vacuum. As usual with these “balanced” talk shows, the left is represented by a corrupt leftist, and the right is represented by a “Why Can’t We All Just Get Along” airhead.
Rush said the other day that CNN should re-name the show “Spitzer and the Ditzer”.

I remember her fatherhood articles. They were the only thing I’ve read by her that was worthwhile or that I remember. That said, she’s a negative for conservatives politically and a media and social set climber. In bed with the libs. Perhaps literally.
Giving a corrupt, incompetent and morally bankrupt hack like Spitzer his own tv show is enough to keep me away. I predict that Parker will live to regret an association that might stay with her for years to come.

I agree with you here. I remember thinking, 10 years ago, that she might become a refreshing voice on the right -- a traditional voice from a traditional gal,not stridently right. But somewhere along the way she began morphing into a leftist of sorts. I'm not a Florida resident so I only read her online; frankly I was surprised to hear that she got a CNN TV show. Surely there were more prominent "conservatives" that CNN could have found, safe conservatives for their network ...

She is the ultimate semi-educated, inside-the-Beltway RINO. The fact that she got an AA Pulitzer for her vapid column doesn’t change the basic facts.
I can't help but agree with you, although were I to be offered the chance of a lifetime, I might make the same decision. While he's certainly a slimebucket, Spitzer did apologize and, apparently has reformed his behavior. So did Chuck Colson; so did many others who committed equally heinous or worse sins or crimes.
Parker, because she is relatively nice, would be better alongside a girly-man like Matt Lauer. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand Lauer, he's such a p-ssy and a wimp -- but there is a market need for nicer, non-confrontational, non-crossfire type shows, and the two of them (Parker and Lauer) would work well. Kind of like Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbel in the 1980s, before Gumbel became the obnoxious leftist that he is.
She’s not strong enough to go up “against” Spitzer. He’s a full blown, no morals, leftist. He’s drank the left’s koolaid and just spits it out at the audience. A show with Spitzer and Buchanan would make more sense. She makes no contribution to the show and he’s dull and wrong.
Who in the world would give a TV job to Eliot Spitzer? Oh yeah CNN.
